It is located in the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia and also within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Saint Basil Academy was established in 1931 by the Sisters of Saint Basil. On October 8, 2020, Saint Basil Academy announced that it will close its doors at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. The last class graduated on June 3, 2021.

Hollywood is an unincorporated community in the southern portion of Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is well known for its collection of Southern California-style homes. The 174-home neighborhood got its start when a builder from California, Gustav Weber, filed plans to build a small subdivision in 1928. The homes were built in pastel colors with flat roofs, similar to Spanish-style homes in the Los Angeles area. Streets were named Los Angeles, San Diego, Pasadena and San Gabriel.However, one of Weber's problems was that the neighborhood landscaping and hardscaping features were not built to cope with the Northeastern winters. Plants native to Southern California and Moravian tile sidewalks were included in his plans. The plants died in the cold. The tile cracked and was replaced by concrete. As a result, modifications were made to the area after it was built. The neighborhood was never finished according to Weber's plans. Possible reasons ranged from the 1929 stock market crash to an unfaithful wife. A local developer finished the development in the 1940s. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has listed the area as eligible for national registry. As a result, residents can apply for federal grants to maintain the historical character of the neighborhood.

MossRehab is a physical rehabilitation hospital and other centers located in the Philadelphia region of Pennsylvania that opened in the early 1900s as part of the original Jewish Hospital. Moss became an independent facility in 1952. During the 1990s, MossRehab merged back into the Einstein Healthcare Network. MossRehab's Main Campus is located at 60 Township Line Road, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center research facility and hospital located in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The main facilities of the center are located on property adjoining Burholme Park. The center is part of the Temple University Health System (TUHS) and specializes in the treatment and prevention of cancer. The center was formed in 1974 by the merger of the American Oncologic Hospital, which was founded in 1904 as the first cancer hospital in the United States, and the Institute for Cancer Research, founded in 1927. The center was an independent, non-profit institution until it became part of TUHS July 1, 2012. Today it has almost 2,400 employees and an operating budget of $300 million. Research is conducted in more than 80 laboratories by a staff of more than 325 physicians and scientists who hold medical degrees, Ph.D.s or both. Fox Chase's 100-bed hospital is one of the few facilities in the country devoted entirely to cancer care. Annual hospital admissions average about 4,100 and outpatient visits to physicians exceed 69,000 a year. As of 2014, the Fox Chase Cancer Center was ranked as the 19th best cancer hospital in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.In 1995, Fox Chase also became a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of 21 of the nation's leading academic cancer centers. On December 15, 2011, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Health system signed an affiliation agreement. Under the agreement, Fox Chase has connected and extended its current operations into the adjoining 176-bed and 33-acre Jeanes Hospital, which is already a part of the Temple University Health System. Fox Chase is considered the "Cancer Hub" of the Temple University Health System. Fox Chase became the first US cancer center and the first hospital in Pennsylvania to earn the American Nurses Association Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence in 2000. Fox Chase has continued to win this designation for a total of five awards. In 2020, Fox Chase Cancer Center received the Press Ganey's Guardian of Excellence Award for excellence in clinical care in outpatient services.

Burholme Park is a public park in the Burholme neighborhood of Philadelphia. The park and the Robert W. Ryerss Museum and Library was a gift of the last descendant of the Ryerss family, prominent Philadelphians. Robert W. Ryerss died on Feb. 18, 1895 at age 65, leaving his estate to Mary Reed, his wife of eight months and the head housekeeper of the Ryerss Mansion for 27 years. He left everything to her on the condition that upon her death the best part of his land and much of his estate would be left to the “People of Philadelphia, forever” as a museum and public lending library. Mary Reed Ryerss spent the rest of her life traveling around the world collecting objects for the museum and planning for the library and park.

Burholme is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The neighborhood is adjacent to Burholme Park, which is located in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. The Kennedy Crossan School was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Ryerss Mansion, also known as Burholme Mansion, is a historic mansion in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The house was built on 85 acres by merchant Joseph Waln Ryerss in 1859 overlooking Burholme Park, one of the highest vistas in Philadelphia. Joseph was president of the Tioga Railroad and followed the family business of trading with China, Japan, and England. He also followed the family avocation of collecting art, especially oriental art. Joseph died in 1868 leaving the house to his second wife Anne, and following her death, to his son Robert. Robert also traveled and collected art which he displayed in the house. Less than a year before he died at age 65, Robert married his longtime housekeeper, Mary Ann Reed. She inherited a comfortable annuity and the house, with the house to be given to the City of Philadelphia after her death. She remarried three years after his death to the Reverend John G. Bawn and they continued the family avocations of traveling and art collecting. In 1905 she turned the house over to the city and it opened as a park, museum, and library in 1910 “Free to the people forever” under the administration of the Fairmount Park Commission. Mrs. Ryerss Bawn died in 1916 in China. The Reverend Bawn then returned to Philadelphia and lobbied the city to build more galleries to house the now larger collection. These galleries were built in 1923.

Fox Chase station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located near the intersection of Rhawn Street and Rockwell Avenue in the Fox Chase neighborhood, it is the current terminus of the Fox Chase Line. Fox Chase station, which has the largest number of parking spaces of any on the line (342), is the closest regional rail stop Philadelphia's Fox Chase, Bustleton, and Pine Valley areas, and to Rockledge and Huntingdon Valley in Montgomery County. The station has two tracks and passengers board and exit at ground level. There is a wheelchair ramp at the north end of the station, though it requires a request to the train staff to utilize. South of the station, the two tracks merge into one and shortly after, it crosses Oxford Avenue (PA 232) on the line's only grade crossing. Just north of the station, the now closed portion of the line crosses Rhawn Street at grade and continues into the woods although both tracks are now blocked off with bumper blocks before the road crossing. SEPTA rebuilt the station area and ticket office in Summer 2010, using funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In FY 2017, Fox Chase station was the seventh busiest station in the SEPTA Regional Rail system, with a weekday average of 1,446 boardings and 1,091 alightings.
