Ryukyu Mura (Japanese: 琉球村, Hepburn: Ryūkyū Mura, lit. 'Ryukyu Village') is a theme park in Onna, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.

Fang Chih or Fang Zhi (Chinese: 方治; 23 November 1895 – 28 March 1989), courtesy name: Xikong (希孔), was a politician, provincial governor, diplomat, author and a high-ranking Kuomintang official of the Republic of China.

Iha Castle (伊波城, Iha jō, Okinawan: Ifa Gushiku) is a Ryukyuan gusuku in Uruma, Okinawa. It sits on a cliff that separates Iha from Ishikawa, with a grand view of the Ishikawa Isthmus. The castle is in ruins, with nothing left of the original structures save the walls. There are also multiple Ryukyuan shrines in the bailey. Based on artifacts found in and around the castle, it has been estimated to have been in use around the 13th to 15th centuries. The Okinawa Prefectural government erected a stone Torii in front of one of the castle gates, along with a plaque describing it.

The Iha Shell Mound (伊波貝塚, Iha Kaidzuka) is the site of the remains of an ancient settlement on Okinawa Island. Located in the Iha district of Uruma City, south of Ishikawa, the site sits on a large limestone fault slope, and dates from the late Shellmound period of Okinawan archaeology, coinciding with the late Jōmon period, c. 2500 – 1000 BC. The shell mound is approximately 60 centimetres (24 in) thick and covers an area of 150 square metres (1,600 sq ft). The site was first discovered in 1920 by Ōyama Kashiwa, confirming that Okinawa was settled by ancient peoples, and is one of only a few fully excavated shell mounds in Okinawa. The site includes remains of fish and animal bones, earthen and stoneware, and goods made out of horn.

Ishikawa (石川市, Ishikawa-shi, Okinawan: Ishichā) was a city located in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on September 26, 1945. It was named after the nearby Mount Ishikawa and the Ishikawa River. As of 2003, the city had an estimated population of 22,126 and a density of 1,052.12 persons per km². The total area was 21.03 km². On April 1, 2005, Ishikawa, along with the city of Gushikawa, and the towns of Katsuren and Yonashiro (both from Nakagami District), was merged to create the city of Uruma.

The 1959 Okinawa F-100 crash (Japanese: 宮森小学校米軍機墜落事故), also known as the Miyamori Elementary School crash (宮森小学校米軍機墜落事故), occurred on June 30, 1959, when a North American F-100 Super Sabre of the United States Air Force crashed in Ishikawa, in United States-occupied Okinawa, killing 18 people.

Zakimi Castle (座喜味城, Zakimi jō, Okinawan: Zachimi Gushiku) is a Ryukyuan gusuku in Yomitan, Okinawa. It is in ruins, but the walls and foundations have been restored. In 2000, Zakimi Castle was designated as a World Heritage Site, as a part of the Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu.

Kurashiki Dam is a rock-fill dam located in Okinawa prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for flood control and water supply. The catchment area of the dam is 104.7 km2. The dam impounds about 77 ha of land when full and can store 7100 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1979 and completed in 1994.

Yomitan (読谷村, Yomitan-son, Okinawan: Yuntan) is a village located in Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.

Yontan Airfield (also known as Yomitan Auxiliary Airfield) is a former military airfield located near Yomitan Village on the west coast of Okinawa. It was closed in July 1996 and turned over to the Japanese government in December 2006. Today it is home to the Yomitan Village Office and community complex, including baseball fields, running tracks, and community facilities.Yontan (Yomitan) Airfield was originally established by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1944 as Kita Airfield (北飛行場, Kita Hikōjō). During the Battle of Okinawa on April 1, 1945, United States Marine Corps and United States Army forces seized the airfield on the first day of their landing. It was quickly repaired and became the first airfield on Okinawa to be used by the American forces. Later it was developed into a major American base for Army, Marine, and Navy aircraft. The Boeing B-29 Bockscar landed at Yomitan after the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (沖縄科学技術大学院大学, Okinawa Kagaku Gijutsu Daigakuin Daigaku, OIST) is a private, interdisciplinary graduate school located in Onna, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.
