Palisades High School is a public high school in Kintnersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is the only public high school that serves the Palisades School District, with students coming from Tinicum, Nockamixon, Springfield, Durham, and Bridgeton Townships and the borough of Riegelsville. The school serves grades 9–12. Many students take online courses taught by Palisades teachers to obtain credit in a specified course. Online classes offered currently include 12th-grade English, Global Perspectives, Health, Biology, and Algebra. The school mascot is the pirate.

Haycock Mountain or known as Ghost Mountain is a locally prominent hill with the highest summit in Bucks County. It rises above Nockamixon State Park, in the Delaware River drainage of southeastern Pennsylvania. Early settlers named it simply for its "resemblance to a cock of hay."Haycock is covered with numerous triassic diabase boulders, and is a bouldering destination with many established routes ranging from V0 to V10+. To the north northwest of the main peak is a secondary peak of approximately 820 feet (250 m)sometimes known as 'Little Haycock', and the main peak overlooks Lake Nockamixon to the southeast. Contained within the Tohickon Creek watershed, Haycock Mountain is drained by Dimple Creek to the west and Haycock Creek to the east.Since it lies within State Game Land Number 157, Haycock is used seasonally for hunting.

Durham is an unincorporated community in Durham Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Durham is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 212 and Durham Road.

Durham Mill and Furnace is a historic grist mill located in Durham Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1820, on the foundations of Durham Furnace. The furnace was built in 1727 and remained in operation for 70 years. The furnace produced pig and bar iron and during the American Revolution cannons, ballshot, and other military equipment. One of its managers was Col. George Taylor (c. 1716–1781), a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The mill building is a three-story, stone structure with the overshot wheel located inside. Attached to it is a large, brick gambrel roofed warehouse added in 1912. At that time, the post office opened at the mill, the second oldest post office in the United States; the Durham Post Office was founded in 1723. The furnace was owned by George P. Whitaker and Joseph Whitaker in the mid 19th-century. The mill was owned by Congressman Reuben Knecht Bachman (1834–1911) in the late-19th and early-20th century. The mill remained in commercial operation until 1967.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. See Benjamin F. The Haupt's Mill Covered Bridge was an historic covered bridge that was located in Springfield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It crossed Durham Creek. Added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 1, 1980, it was destroyed by arson in January 1985, and subsequently removed from the register.
