Fifth and Main Downtown Historic District

Centenary United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located in Richmond, Virginia. The Gothic Revival building was completed in 1843. A simple brick building it was initially designed by John and Samuel Freeman before receiving a major expansion in the 1870s according to designs by Richmond architect Albert L. West. It is located at 411 East Grace Street. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 1979. It is located in the Grace Street Commercial Historic District.

The Grace Street Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located in Richmond, Virginia. The district encompasses 93 contributing buildings located in downtown Richmond. The buildings reflect the core of the city's early 20th-century retail development and the remnants of a 19th-century residential neighborhood. The buildings are in a variety of popular 19th-century and early 20th-century architectural styles, including Classical Revival, Mission Revival, International Style, and Colonial Revival. Notable buildings include the Administration and Equipment Building for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company (1929), Thalhimer's Department Store, Atlantic Life Building (1950-1959), Miller & Rhoads Department Store, Berry-Burk Building, former W. W. Foster Studios (1927), Bank of Virginia (1949), Investment Realty Company building (1930), W.T. Grant Store (1939), Hotel John Marshall (1927), Franklin Federal Savings and Loan building (1954), and the Tompkins House (1820). Located in the district and separately listed are the Loew's Theatre, Centenary United Methodist Church, Joseph P. Winston House, Central National Bank, and National Theater.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, with a boundary increase in 2009.

The Central National Bank building is a 23-story (282 ft) Art Deco skyscraper located in Richmond, Virginia. Completed in 1929, it was one of the first skyscrapers in the city of Richmond not in the heart of the financial district. According to architectural historian Richard Guy Wilson, it and the West Hospital building, are the only two skyscrapers in Richmond to have used the fashionable Art Deco ziggurat-inspired setback, and only a few others exist elsewhere in Virginia. When the bank later changed hands, it was known as the Central Fidelity Bank. It was used as a branch bank for Wachovia Corp. until that closed in 2000. After nearly fifteen years of vacancy, it was converted into apartments, and the first resident moved into the building in mid-2016. The redevelopment is called to "Deco at CNB," a 200-apartment development by Douglas Development Corp.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Grace Street Commercial Historic District.

Bolling Haxall House, also known as the Woman's Club, is a historic residential building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built by Bolling Walker Haxall in 1858 and is a three-story Italian Villa style dwelling of sandstone-colored stucco, scored to imitate ashlar. It features a projecting central entrance on the front facade, a raised portico (with arched openings) supported by four fluted columns, and an elaborate double-bracketed, dentiled cornice. An auditorium was added in 1916, after the home's acquisition by the Woman's Club in 1900.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Young Women's Christian Association is a historic YWCA building in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1913–1914, and is a three-story, five bay, brick and stone Renaissance Revival style building. The two-story rear block contains the gymnasium. The building features an elaborately designed entry portico with a curved exterior staircase.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Virginia is a historic apartment / office building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1906, and is a five-story, Classical Revival style brick building. The building features limestone, granite, and pressed metal decorative elements. The building originally housed the headquarters of the Virginia State Insurance Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Second Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at 5 N. 5th Street in Richmond, Virginia. It was designed by architect Minard Lafever and was built in 1848. It is a brick veneer Gothic Revival style church with lancet windows and a square pinnacled tower with an arched entrance at the front of the church.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Hancock–Wirt–Caskie House, also known as The William Wirt House, is a historic home located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1808–09, and is a two-story, seven-bay Federal-era brick dwelling with a hipped roof. The three bays on either side of the entrance are formed into octagonal-ended or three-sectioned bow front projections with a wooden, two-level porch arcade screening the central space. It has a central hall plan with an octagonal room on the south and a rectangular room behind and a larger single room across the hall. In 1816, William Wirt (1772–1834) purchased the house and lived there until 1818, when he moved to Washington as Attorney General of the United States under James Monroe. Formerly serving as the headquarters of the Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross, the house is now a private residence. The last business to occupy this house was the law firm of Bowles and Bowles. The house bears a strong resemblance to Point of Honor in Lynchburg, Virginia.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Linden Row is a set of seven historic rowhouses located in Richmond, Virginia. They were built in 1847 and 1853, and are three-story, Greek Revival style brick veneer townhouses on high basements and topped by a simple white cornice of wood. Each house has an identical Grecian Doric order entrance porch supported by two fluted Doric columns. A three-story porch runs the entire length of the back of the houses. Linden Row includes a house owned by noted author Mary Johnston, who died there in 1936.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Joseph P. Winston House, also known as the Winston House, is a historic residence in Richmond, Virginia, United States. It was built in 1873-1874 for wholesale grocer Joseph P. Winston, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay, brick residence. It features a half-story, ogee-curved mansard roof with black slate shingles. It also has an elaborate cast-iron front porch and original cast-iron picket fence with gate. Also included is the adjacent Richmond Art Company Building. It was designed in 1920 by prominent architect Duncan Lee, and is a three-story, stuccoed brick building in a Spanish-Mediterranean Revival style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 11, 1979. It is located in the Grace Street Commercial Historic District.
