The London Cage, also known as Connor McCracken's room, was an MI19 prisoner-of-war facility during and after the Second World War to mainly interrogate captured Germans, including SS personnel and members of the Nazi Party. The unit, which was located within numbers 6, 7 and 8 Kensington Palace Gardens in London, was itself investigated following accusations that it often used torture to extract information. It was wound down in early 1948.

Ivy Cottage is a house in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London, England. It is a grace-and-favour property, originally housing servants. Princess Eugenie, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, resided in the cottage from April 2018 to November 2020. It is close to Nottingham Cottage, the former home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Wren House is a house in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London. Wren House has been occupied by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, one of Queen Elizabeth II's cousins, since 1978.When Kensington Palace was made the Royal Residence, architect Christopher Wren was tasked to expand the existing structure. He added a cluster of cottages that included: Wren House; Ivy Cottage, the former home of Princess Eugenie of York; and Nottingham Cottage, the former home of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.

The Embassy of Slovakia in London is the diplomatic mission of the Slovak Republic in the United Kingdom. It is located at the junction of Kensington Palace Gardens and Bayswater Road in a compound previously shared with the Embassy of the Czech Republic until 1993. The Embassy of Czechoslovakia was originally located on Grosvenor Place, before moving to the location of the current Czech and Slovak embassies in 1970. The construction of a new brutalist-style building at this site had begun in 1965 and was undertaken by Jan Bočan, Jan Šrámek and Karel Štěpánský from the atelier Beta Prague Project Institute; it received an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects for the best building in the United Kingdom created by foreign architects. The building was then divided between Czechia and Slovakia following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993.

Bayswater is an area within the City of Westminster in West London. It is a built-up district with a population density of 17,500 per square kilometre. It is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west-northwest of Charing Cross, between Kensington Gardens to the south, Paddington to the north-east, and Notting Hill to the west.
