Lewisham West and Penge is a constituency in Greater London created in 2010 and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Ellie Reeves of the Labour Party.

Mayow Park, formerly known as Sydenham Recreation Ground, is a municipal park in London Borough of Lewisham. Located on Mayow Road in Sydenham, south east London, it is the borough's oldest park and its second oldest public open space after Blackheath. The park has a Green Flag Award.

Forest Hill School is a boys' secondary comprehensive school located in Forest Hill, in the London Borough of Lewisham. The school is in federation with the girls' secondary, Sydenham School, which is nearby. In 2005 the school was given Performing Arts status for its Drama, Dance, Music and Art courses and currently has a silver artsmark from the English Arts Council. The school has an Investors in People award, and in October 2021, it became the first school in London to receive the Stonewall School Champion Gold award.

Forest Hill Pools is a leisure centre in Forest Hill, London. After being closed in 2006, it was rebuilt including two pools and a health and fitness suite and reopened in September 2012. It is located close to Forest Hill railway station, Forest Hill Library and Sydenham School.

Walter Cobb was a department store located in Sydenham in South London. It opened in 1860 and closed in 1981.

Sydenham (London) is a railway station in Sydenham in the London Borough of Lewisham, South London. Originally opened in 1839, the station is located on the former Croydon Canal, which is now a branch of the Brighton Main Line, often known as the Sydenham Corridor. Sydenham falls within Travelcard Zone 3 and is served by London Overground and Southern. The station is 6 miles 32 chains (6.40 miles, 10.30 km) down the line from London Bridge.

Sydenham () is a district of south-east London, England, which is shared between the London boroughs of Lewisham, Bromley and Southwark. Prior to the creation of the County of London in 1889, Sydenham was located in Kent, bordering Surrey. Historically, the area was very affluent, with the Crystal Palace being relocated to Sydenham Hill in 1854. Today, Sydenham is a diverse area, with a population of 28,378 (2011 census) and borders Forest Hill, Dulwich, Crystal Palace, Penge, Beckenham, Catford and Bellingham.

Kirkdale School (1964 - 1980s) was a small, independent free school located at 186 Kirkdale, Sydenham, London, England. During the entirety of the school's existence it was run as a parent/teacher co-operative. Kirkdale is one of several free schools to have been established in the United Kingdom in the twentieth century. Others include (Sands School in Devon, Summerhill in Suffolk and Kilquhanity School in the south-west Scotland). Unlike some free schools, Kirkdale was not established in a rural idyll but within a small plot in London.

Sydenham School (known as Sydenham Girls by locals) is a comprehensive girls' school located on Dartmouth Road (A2216) in Sydenham, London.

Forest Hill railway station serves Forest Hill in the London Borough of Lewisham, south London. The station adjoins a road which serves as part of the A205 South Circular Road. The station is managed by London Overground, with Overground and Southern trains serving the station. Thameslink services also pass through the station. It is 5 miles 50 chains (5.63 miles, 9.05 km) down the line from London Bridge, between Honor Oak Park and Sydenham, in Travelcard Zone 3. There are four tracks through the station, although only the slow lines (the two outer tracks) have platforms. There are two entrances, the main one being on platform 1 at the bottom of the South Circular Road, and a side entrance on platform 2 on Perry Vale. The ticket office is placed in the main entrance, although there are ticket machines outside both entrances.

Forest Croft and Taymount Grange are two 1930s Art Deco–style mansion blocks situated at the top of Taymount Rise in Forest Hill, London. Forest Croft was built in 1937 to designs by Arnold Andre Higuer, on a site previously occupied by a house called The Mount. It comprises 63 flats. Taymount Grange was built in 1935 to designs by George Bertram Carter on the site of Taymount, a 19th-century house, and the former Queens Tennis Club. The developer was Sir Malerham Perks. It has a steel frame with masonry infill and a rendered finish, flat roof and metal "streamlined" windows. The aesthetic is more Style Moderne –being reliant in simplicity of detailing rather than ornamentation. When built some of the flats comprised two apartments, a large one for the main occupier and a smaller one for the servant. The flats were advertised with the tag "the servant problem solved". There were also a restaurant, lounge and "guest rooms", as well as seven tennis courts, a swimming pool and a putting green.
