Mogalrajapuram Caves

Vijayawada (urban) mandal is one of the 20 mandals in NTR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is under the administration of Vijayawada revenue division and has its headquarters at Vijayawada city. The mandal lies on the banks of Krishna River, bounded by Vijayawada (rural) mandal and Penamaluru mandals. The mandal is also a part of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region under the jurisdiction of APCRDA.

Vijayawada is the headquarters and the largest city of the region. It includes the major ancient cities of Vijayawada, Guntur, and Tenali. Andhra Pradesh Capital Region is one of the largest populated urban areas in the world, with its suburbs Vijayawada, Guntur, and Tenali being the 3rd, 24th, 41st most densely populated cities in the world. Vijayawada is the most densely populated city in India while Guntur is 11th and Tenali is the most populous city of 14th place in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Capital Region is the most populated metropolitan area in the state of Andhra Pradesh and 8th in India. Entire region is under the jurisdiction of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority, and covers an area of 8,603 km2 (3,322 sq mi) under 58 mandals, of which 29 are in Krishna district and 29 in Guntur district. The capital region covers 18 mandals fully and 11 mandals partially in Guntur district. In Krishna district, it covers 15 mandals fully and 14 mandals partially under the jurisdiction of APCRDA. The capital city is an Urban Notified Area, and will cover 217.23 km2 (83.87 sq mi), within the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. As of 1 August 2020, Andhra Pradesh proposed three capitals, which are Visakhapatnam as the executive capital, Amaravati as the legislative capital, and Kurnool as the judicial capital, but the process was cancelled and reverted back to the original 2014 plan of a singular capital city at Amaravati on 22 November 2021.

One Town (or Old Town) is a commercial area of the city of Vijayawada. It is a part of Old Town area of the city. Arjuna Veedhi, Islampet, Jendachettu Centre, Kamsalipet, Rajarajeswaripet, Kothapet, Ajithsinghnagar, Jendachettu Centre and Winchipet are some of the areas under I–Town.The I–Town police station and Kothapeta police station has its jurisdiction over this area. Archaeological Survey of India office, Akkanna-Madanna caves and the Gosala are some of the notable structures situated in this area.

Bhavanipuram is a residential hub located to the West Central of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh The locality shares its borders with Vijayawada Bypass Road and the National Highway 65. Though consisting of vacant plots till a few years back, the area is now bustling with some commercial and residential establishments. Popular areas located close to Bhavanipuram include Undavalli, Krishna Lanka, Gollapudi, Jakkampudi, Vidyadarapuram, Chitti Nagar, and Kabela.

Vijayawada West mandal is one of the 20 mandals in the NTR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the four mandals that formed from the Vijayawada Urban mandal after bifurcation in 2018 under the reorganization of revenue mandals. It is under the administration of Vijayawada revenue division, and the headquarters are located at Bhavanipuram.

Indira Gandhi Stadium (formerly Municipal Stadium) is located in Vijayawada city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The stadium has hosted a solitary ODI between India and West Indies on Sunday, 24 November 2002. It also hosted a WODI in December 1997 between England women and Pakistan women, which was won by England by 230 runs. National festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day and other cultural programmes have been held here after the state's bifurcation in June, 2014.

Benz Circle Flyover is a Flyover spanning the Benz Circle area in Vijayawada, India. The 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) long flyover is part of the expansion of National Highway 16 and National Highway 65. Planned as a two-phased project, the first phase was inaugurated on 16 October 2020 by Nitin Gadkari. The flyover is expected to be wholly completed by 2022.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Vijayawada (Latin: Viiayavadan(us)) is a diocese located in the city of Vijayawada in the Ecclesiastical province of Visakhapatnam in India. Administratively, the diocese encompasses the geographical Krishna district of the state of Andhra Pradesh . The Diocese of Vijayawada has the largest catholic population(.35 million) among all the Suffragan dioceses of the Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam.

Andhra Loyola College (ALC or locally "Loyola College") is a private, Catholic higher education institution run by the Andhra Province of the Society of Jesus in Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded by the Jesuits in 9 December 1953.

Raj Bhavan (translation: Government House) is the official residence of the governor of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The Bapu Museum (formerly: Victoria Jubilee Museum) is an archaeological museum, located at M. G. Road of Vijayawada. It was renamed in the memory of the renowned film director, illustrator, cartoonist and author Bapu. The museum is maintained by the Archaeological department and has large collection of sculptures, paintings and artifacts of Buddhist and Hindu relics, with some of them as old as 2nd and 3rd Centuries. The structure of building is an Indo-European style of architectural and is more than a hundred years old structure.
