Harmony Public Schools is the largest charter management organization in Texas with seventy campuses serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The headquarters are located in Southwest Management District (formerly Greater Sharpstown), Houston, Texas, In 2020, Harmony managed charter schools enrolling 40,000 students.: 87 

Forum Park is a community in Houston, Texas. It is bounded by Texas State Highway Beltway 8, U.S. Route 59 (Southwest Freeway), and Bissonnet Road. A portion of the community resides in the Greater Sharpstown district.The community includes many large apartments and townhouses with high population densities. As of 2009, many apartments and townhouses were not well maintained. The pools at the complexes were not well maintained, and trash pickup was not up to standard.

Little Saigon, also popularly known as Vietnamtown or simply Viet-Town, is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas centered on Bellaire Boulevard west of Chinatown. It is one of the largest Vietnamese enclaves in the United States. It is located within the International Management District. Because the neighborhood is adjacent to Chinatown, there is a misconception that it is a continuation of Chinatown. Little Saigon is, however, its own distinctive neighborhood. The portion of Bellaire Blvd was officially designated as Saigon Blvd by the City of Houston, and its intersecting streets were also designated Vietnamese names. In the City of Houston in 2016, there was a plan to officially designate the area as its own district. This was, however, rejected by the residents of the overall Alief area. The Vietnamese-American AM radio station, Radio Saigon Houston, is transmitted in the neighborhood.

Chinatown (Chinese: 華埠 or 中國城) is a community in Southwest Houston, Texas, United States. There is another Chinatown called "Old Chinatown" located within the East Downtown Houston district near the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Sharpstown is a master-planned community in the Southwest Management District (formerly Greater Sharpstown), Southwest Houston, Texas. It was one of the first communities to be built as a master-planned, automobile centered community and the first in Houston. Frank Sharp (1906–1993), the developer of the subdivision, made provisions not only for homes but also for schools, shopping and recreation areas. While this model has been duplicated countless times in the past fifty years, at the time it was quite revolutionary, attracting national media attention. The development was dedicated on March 13, 1955.

Girls and Boys Preparatory Academy (GBPA) was a K-12 state-chartered primary and secondary school located in Greater Sharpstown, Houston, Texas. It operated from 1995, making it one of the first Texas charter schools, to 2015.

St. Agnes Academy is a Dominican college-preparatory school for young women grades 9 through 12 in the Chinatown area and in the Greater Sharpstown district of Houston, Texas. The school operates within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Sharpstown International School is a middle and high school in Houston, Texas, located in Section 2 of Sharpstown Country Club Estates. The school serves grades 6 through 12 and is part of the Houston Independent School District. As of 2023 it is an all-magnet school. The Houston I.S.D. in partnership with Asia Society International Studies Schools Network developed a new, small high school in August 2007 called the International High School at Sharpstown. In the 2011-2012 school year, International High School and Sharpstown Middle School were consolidated to be Sharpstown International School, the first sixth-through-twelfth grade magnet program in HISD. The school's international studies magnet program offers Model United Nations, Chinese and Spanish languages, study abroad opportunities, and an internationalized curriculum. The student body represents more than 45 countries and over 35 languages. The majority of students speak Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Igbo, Amharic, and Tigrinya.The school's mascot for its sports teams is the "Spartan." Previously, Sharpstown Middle School's sports teams were called the Vikings.Sharpstown International School offers an annual International Festival. The International Festival happens every first Tuesday of December.

Strake Jesuit College Preparatory (properly referred to as Strake Jesuit or Jesuit but often informally called Strake by students and alumni) is a Jesuit, college-preparatory school for boys, grades 9–12, in the Chinatown area and in the Greater Sharpstown district of Houston, Texas, United States. It is near Alief.With over 1,200 students, it is the largest Catholic high school in Houston. It has a full-time curator for its art collection; the City of Houston has classified the campus as an art museum. The school is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. It is one of only two private schools in Texas that are members of the University Interscholastic League (the other being Dallas Jesuit), which allows it to compete athletically against the largest public schools.

Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, formerly Southwest Memorial Hospital, is a hospital in Sharpstown Section 3, in Southwest Management District (formerly Greater Sharpstown), Houston. It is a part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. The communities it serves include Bellaire, Missouri City, Uptown Houston (the Galleria area), and Southwest Houston, including Meyerland and Sharpstown.Pediatric care to the hospital is provided by doctors from Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital which treats infants, children, teens, and young adults age 0-21.

Meadows Place is a city located in Fort Bend County in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the city population was 4,767.Meadows Place was part of Stafford's extraterritorial jurisdiction prior to incorporation on November 14, 1983. Meadows Place was incorporated as Meadows, but this was changed to "Meadows Place" in 1997 due to postal conflicts with a city of a similar name, Meadow, Texas. The city of Meadows Place has its own police force and 24/7 fire and EMS protection. The current mayor is Charles Jessup. Meadows Place shares a ZIP code (77477) with Stafford, Texas, and the post office is in Stafford, but postal addresses in Meadows Place are designated as "Meadows Place, Texas".
