St. Agnes Academy is a Dominican college-preparatory school for young women grades 9 through 12 in the Chinatown area and in the Greater Sharpstown district of Houston, Texas. The school operates within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Sharpstown is a master-planned community in the Southwest Management District (formerly Greater Sharpstown), Southwest Houston, Texas. While this model has been duplicated countless times in the past fifty years, at the time it was quite revolutionary, attracting national media attention. The development was dedicated on March 13, 1955.

Harwin Drive is a road in Houston, Texas. The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau identifies the section between Interstate 69/U.S. Route 59 (Southwest Freeway) and Beltway 8 as being a shopping district. Harwin has many strip malls with discount shops and wholesale warehouses. Allison Wollam said that the street has a "bargain mile" image among Houstonians (Houston citizens). The Houston Press stated that Harwin was "Houston's shadiest and quirkiest shopping hot spot." Jenalia Moreno of the Houston Chronicle said that Harwin was "a strip known by local fashionistas as ground zero for affordable purses, clothing, shoes and jewelry." Moreno also said "If you want name-brand purses, designer sunglasses or other accessories at dirt cheap prices, Houstonians know to hit shops lining Harwin Drive. Consumers buy the goods thinking they're getting a sweet deal — or just give a wink and a nod knowing the products could be fake."

Sharpstown International School is a middle and high school in Houston, Texas, located in Section 2 of Sharpstown Country Club Estates. The school serves grades 6 through 12 and is part of the Houston Independent School District. As of 2023 it is an all-magnet school. The Houston I.S.D. in partnership with Asia Society International Studies Schools Network developed a new, small high school in August 2007 called the International High School at Sharpstown. In the 2011-2012 school year, International High School and Sharpstown Middle School were consolidated to be Sharpstown International School, the first sixth-through-twelfth grade magnet program in HISD. The school's international studies magnet program offers Model United Nations, Chinese and Spanish languages, study abroad opportunities, and an internationalized curriculum. The student body represents more than 45 countries and over 35 languages. The majority of students speak Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Igbo, Amharic, and Tigrinya.The school's mascot for its sports teams is the "Spartan." Previously, Sharpstown Middle School's sports teams were called the Vikings.Sharpstown International School offers an annual International Festival. The International Festival happens every first Tuesday of December.

The Tenney School is a private middle and high school in western Houston, Texas, United States. It is within the Westchase Management District and the City of Houston-defined Westchase Super Neighborhood.The school was established in 1973. In 2013 the school opened a new facility. Students at Tenney School are taught on a one by one basis. George Tenney, the director, said in 1993 that his school had to turn away prospective applicants. The Tenney School offers a unique one-to-one teaching model of individualized learning. The Tenney School has maintained accreditation through AdvancED since 1979, most recently receiving the highest possible rating in 4 of 7 categories.

It is a part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. The communities it serves include Bellaire, Missouri City, Uptown Houston (the Galleria area), and Southwest Houston, including Meyerland and Sharpstown.Pediatric care to the hospital is provided by doctors from Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital which treats infants, children, teens, and young adults age 0-21.

Arena Place is a complex including two office towers and a theater located in Sharpstown, Southwest Management District, Houston, Texas. It was built in Sharpstown Commercial Park.The complex, located on Highway 59 and (Southwest Freeway), includes One & Two Arena Place, two 19-story towers each with about 390,000 square feet (36,000 m2) of space, the Arena Theatre, a live performance theater with a 2,850 seats, and two nine story parking garages with a total of 2,200 spaces. Due to the facility's circular shape, all of its seats are no further than 65 feet (20 m) from the stage. Because of the presence of the garages, the theater has on-site parking. The complex has a two-story, 6,000 square feet (560 m2) office tower penthouse. The complex is located near PlazAmericas (formerly Sharpstown Mall). The concession stands are located inside the theater. The complex, which has Class A office space, is located in proximity to the 610 Loop, Beltway 8, and the Westpark Tollway.

PlazAmericas, formerly known as Sharpstown Mall and earlier Sharpstown Center, is a shopping mall located in the Sharpstown development in Greater Sharpstown, Houston, Texas. The mall is located on the northwest corner of Interstate 69/U.S. Route 59 and Bellaire Boulevard. This is the third mall to be built in Houston after Gulfgate Mall opened in 1956 and Meyerland Plaza in 1957, but the first fully air-conditioned mall in Houston. The area includes the Jewelry Exchange Center, a ten-story building. After the mall was renamed PlazAmericas, it took a Latin American theme and catered to Hispanics. The anchor stores are Burlington, SuperNova Furniture, America Cinemas, La Sorella, Gold Factory & Imports, and Clarewood Supermercado. It was built in Sharpstown Industrial Park Section 12.
