Charlotteville, New York

The New York Conference Seminary in Charlotteville, Schoharie County, New York, also known as Charlotteville Seminary, was a school operated under the auspices of the New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. It was founded in 1850 with Alonzo Flack as the principal.One of the school buildings was destroyed by fire in 1856, but the school continued through the purchase and renovation of a hotel. It finally closed in 1875.

The district includes three contributing buildings, one contributing site, and two contributing structures. It includes a Greek Revival style farmhouse built about 1853. Also included is a milk house (ca. 1910), auto garage (ca. 1920), fire pond (ca. 1920), and 19th-century family burial plot.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Clapper Hollow Creek is a river in Schoharie County, New York. It flows into Charlotte Creek southwest of Charlotteville. Part of the creek flows through the 818-acre (3.31 km2) Clapper Hollow State Forest, which was purchased by the state in the 1930s.
