Warblington School

Warblington railway station serves the Warblington and Denvilles suburbs of Havant in Hampshire. It is located on the West Coastway Line which runs between Brighton and Southampton, 36 miles 66 chains (36.83 miles, 59.26 km) from Brighton. Situated opposite Warblington School, the station lies very close to a major road junction: the point at which the A259 coast road leaves the A27. Standing on the platform at the station entrance end it is possible to see the platforms of Havant railway station a short straight-line distance away.

Denvilles is a locality within Havant to the north of Warblington railway station. In 1877 it consisted of a solitary farm but by 1897 there were several roads of detached residences. Slowly the area grew, and in the 1960s it doubled in size as smaller housing estates for private ownership were built. The area has a small convenience store but the adjoining satellite health centre moved in July to centralised premises elsewhere. The Borough Council designates the area UA2: not a priority for extra investment.

Havant New was a temporary terminus between Havant and Rowlands Castle on the Portsmouth Direct Line: a temporary platform, erected by the L&SWR who were granted permission to run all trains along the line by its independent venture owners, but which did not reach Portsmouth, which started a dispute with the LB&SCR which owned the only railway south of Havant.

Warblington Castle or Warblington manor was a moated manor near Langstone in Havant parish, Hampshire. Most of the castle was destroyed during the English Civil War, leaving only a single gate tower, part of a wall, and a gateway. The property, now in the village of Warblington, is privately owned and does not allow for public access.

St Thomas à Becket Church, sometimes referred to as St Thomas of Canterbury's Church and known until 1796 as the Church of Our Lady, is the Church of England parish church of Warblington in Hampshire, England. It was founded in the Saxon era, and some Anglo-Saxon architecture survives. Otherwise the church is largely of 12th- and 13th-century appearance; minimal restoration work was undertaken in the 19th century. Its situation in a "lonely but well-filled churchyard" in a rural setting next to a farm made it a common site for body snatching in that era, and two huts built for grave-watchers survive at opposite corners of the churchyard. Warblington is now a suburban area within the South Hampshire conurbation, and the church is about 1 mile (1.6 km) from the centre of Havant, the nearest large town, but St Thomas à Becket Church stands in a secluded area between a major trunk road and an inlet of the English Channel. Until the 19th century, when the parish was subdivided, the church served a large area including the nearby town of Emsworth. The parishes of Warblington and Emsworth have now been reunited, and regular services are held both at Warblington and at St James's Church in Emsworth. The church is Grade I listed, the highest grade, for its architectural and historical importance. Listed separately at Grade II, the lowest grade, are the two grave-watchers' huts in the churchyard, which also has an "especially good group of mid-18th-century headstones". Important fittings in the church include a range of medieval and later monuments and locally made 13th-century encaustic tiles.

Warblington Meadow is a 3.9-hectare (9.6-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Emsworth in Hampshire.This site has areas of fresh and salt water marshes. It has a rich flora, with 158 species of flowering plants recorded, including marsh arrow-grass, ragged robin, creeping jenny, corky-fruited water-dropwort, bog pimpernel and southern marsh orchid. There is also a small unpolluted brook lined with trees.The site is private land with no public access.

Havant railway station is a railway station in Havant, Hampshire, near Portsmouth, located on the Portsmouth Direct Line which runs between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour. Havant is served by trains operated by Southern, who provide the most trains at the station, and South Western Railway who also provide frequent trains and manage the station.Havant is the nearest station to Hayling Island and also serves the nearby town of Waterlooville. Buses depart from the nearby bus station to both these places.

The Borough of Havant is a local government district with borough status in Hampshire, England. Its council is based in Havant. Other places within the borough include Bedhampton, Cowplain, Emsworth, Hayling Island, Purbrook, Waterlooville and Widley. The borough covers much of the semi-urban area in the south east of Hampshire, between the city of Portsmouth and the West Sussex border.

Havant Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based at Havant, Hampshire. The club's first team plays in the Southern Premier Cricket League, which is one of the ECB Premier Leagues that are the highest level of the amateur, recreational sport in England and Wales. The club, founded in 1882, currently plays its home games at Havant Park, which has also hosted Hampshire Second XI matches. In 2005 Havant reached the semi-finals of the Cockspur Cup, after beating Bridgwater Cricket Club of Somerset. Havant have been champions in the Southern Premier Cricket League in 2000, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and most recently in 2016. In 2011 and 2016, the club also won the league's Twenty20 competition. They were beaten finalists in 2012.

Havant ( HAV-ənt) is a town in the south-east corner of Hampshire, England between Portsmouth and Chichester. Housing and population more than doubled in the 20 years following World War II, a period of major conversion of land from agriculture and woodland to housing across the region following the incendiary bombing of Portsmouth and the Blitz. The old centre of the town was a small Celtic settlement before Roman times and the town's commerce, retired and commuter population swelled after World War II so as to be usually considered economically part of the Portsmouth conurbation.

Clanfield Football Club are a football club based in Havant, England. They play in the Wessex League Division One. The club is affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association and is an FA Charter Standard Development club.
