Richhill Castle

Hamiltonsbawn or Hamilton's Bawn is a village in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, five miles (8 km) east of Armagh. It lies within the Parish of Mullabrack and the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council area. It had a population of 895 people (343 households) in the 2011 Census.

Mullaghbrack, Mullabrack or Mullaghbrac (from Irish Mullach Breac, meaning 'speckled hilltop') is a small village, townland and civil parish in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is on the road between Markethill and Hamiltonsbawn, just north of Gosford Forest Park. It had a population of 54 people (24 households) in the 2011 census. (2001 census: 75 people)

Gosford Castle is a 19th-century country house situated in Gosford, a townland of Markethill, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It was built for Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford, and designed in the Norman revival style by London architect Thomas Hopper. It is a Grade A listed building, and is said to be Ulster's largest. The Earls of Gosford occupied the castle until 1921, and the estate was later purchased by the Ministry of Agriculture to form Gosford Forest Park. The building subsequently deteriorated and in 2006 was sold to a development company who converted the castle into private dwellings.

Richhill is a large village and townland in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It lies between Armagh and Portadown. It had a population of 2,738 people in the 2021 Census.Originally named Legacorry, it takes its name from Edward Richardson, who built the manor house around which the village grew.

Gosford Forest Park is a forest park located outside Markethill, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The park, previously Gosford Demesne, was acquired by the Department of Agriculture in 1958 and comprises some 240 hectares of diverse woodland and open parkland. Gosford Forest Park is also home to Gosford Castle. It was designated the first conservation forest in Northern Ireland in 1986.

Altaturk (from Irish Alt a tuirc, meaning 'height or glen of the hog or wild boar') is a townland of 283 acres in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the historic barony of Oneilland West and up until 1851 in the civil parish of Loughgall after which it was transferred to Kildarton civil parish.

It had a population of 1,647 people in the 2011 Census.A livestock market is held here three times a week and each summer the world's largest Lambeg drumming contest takes place in the village. It is home to Kilcluney Volunteers Flute Band, who host the largest band parade in Europe on the first Friday of each June.It is by the A28 road around 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Armagh city, and 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of Newry.

Markethill High School is a secondary school located in Markethill, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The school caters for 11- to 16-year-olds and currently has 490 pupils. It is within the Southern Education and Library Board area.

Richhill railway station was on the Ulster Railway in Northern Ireland. The Ulster Railway opened the station on 1 March 1848. It closed on 10 October 1957.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon is a local government district in Northern Ireland. The district was created as Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon on 1 April 2015 by merging the City and District of Armagh, Banbridge District and most of the Borough of Craigavon. The word "City" was added to the name on 24 February 2016, to reflect Armagh's city status. The local authority is Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

It is within the townland of Drumnahunshin (from Irish Druim na hUinseann, meaning 'ridge of the ash') and the Armagh City and District Council area. It had a population of 197 people (91 households) in the 2011 Census. (2001 Census: 213 people)
