Aquinas College is a state-integrated Designated Special Character school on the southwestern outskirts of Tauranga City, New Zealand. It is a Roman Catholic co-educational school that combines intermediate and college (years 7–13). It was founded in 2003 with St. Thomas Aquinas as its patron saint. The proprietor of the school, which is a State-integrated school, is the Bishop of Hamilton. The school's founding principal was Brendon Schollum (2003–2010).

Thea Kilian is the current principal, transferring from her role as Deputy Principal from Auckland's Long Bay College.

Reed and Peter Dowling, "Tauriko" is not a Māori name—the suburb was originally named Taurico after the Tauranga Rimu Company, with the spelling apparently altered to give the semblance of a Māori name.

Merivale or Parkvale (Māori: Tutarawanga) is a suburb of Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island. The suburb was established after World War II, when six family farms, including the Merrivale Estate, were purchased by developers and subdivided.Local residents and organisations refer to the area as Merivale. However, some maps refer to the area as Parkvale, and New Zealand Police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand dispatchers often follow these maps. The agencies officially recognise both names.

The school has a roll of 1096 students from years 9 to 13 (approx. ages 12 to 18) as of February 2023. The current principal is Ms Tara Kanji. Tauranga Girls' has many extracurricular activities, the largest of which is the drama production, which is produced with Tauranga Boys' College. It was created due to the population increase and small area of Tauranga College, which became the site for Tauranga Boys College.

Tauranga Intermediate is an Intermediate school situated in Tauranga, New Zealand. It is the largest in the country, with over 1,300 students in 45 classrooms.
