Martha Jefferson Historic District, also known as Locust Grove Addition, is a national historic district located at Charlottesville, Virginia. The district encompasses 154 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site (Maplewood Cemetery), and 1 contributing structure in a primarily residential section of the city of Charlottesville. It was developed between 1893 and 1957 and includes examples of the Late Victorian and Colonial Revival styles. Notable buildings include the Eddins-Tilden House (1901), Dorothy S. Marshall House (1941), and Martha Jefferson Hospital (1928-1929). Located in the district is the separately listed Locust Grove.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Enderly is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1859–1860, and is a two-story, three-bay, Greek Revival style brick dwelling. It has an original one-story rear wing, later expanded to two stories in the 20th century. A single-story Colonial Revival front porch replaced the original portico.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Located at 605 Watson Avenue, adjacent to the Enderly House, is the Enderly kitchen. The kitchen was built in 1858 and prepared all of the meals for the Enderlys. Originally just a two room kitchen, the front 2 over 2 was added during World War I. In 1986, an additional first floor BR suite was added that enlarged the home even more.

The historic home listed as Lewis Farm, also known as The Farm and John A. G. Davis Farm, is located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1826, and is a two-story brick dwelling with a low hipped roof and two large chimneys. On the front facade is a Tuscan order portico with a terrace above. The house was built by individuals who worked with Thomas Jefferson on building the University of Virginia. Its builder, John A. G. Davis, was law professor at the University of Virginia and was shot and killed outside Pavilion X by a student in 1840. During the American Civil War, Brigadier General George Armstrong Custer set up temporary headquarters at the house where he remained for three days.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Marshall–Rucker–Smith House is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built for J. William and Carrie Marshall in 1894 by William T. Vandegrift, the grandfather of General Alexander Archer Vandegrift, and is a two-story, nearly square, Queen Anne style brick dwelling. It has a three-story octagonal corner tower, a prominent front gable projection of the slate-shingled hip roof, a two-story rear wing, and multiple one-story porches. A two-story solarium and library wing were added by its second owner, William J. Rucker in about 1930. Also on the property is a contributing swimming pool (c. 1930) which is now used as a members-only neighborhood pool. In the mid-20th century, after the house had been made into a rooming house, future Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor numbered among its residents while her husband was attending the Judge Advocate General School at the University of Virginia School of Law.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It is located in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District.

Hard Bargain is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1878, and is a two-story, three-bay, Late Victorian style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard and sits on a brick English basement. It has a large two-story rear addition (1890s), one-story bay window, and projecting end pavilion. Also on the property are the contributing stone foundation of an old barn and the remains of a mill on Schenk's Branch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Judge William J. Robertson House is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1859, and is a two-story, roughly rectangular, brick dwelling with elements of the Italianate and Gothic Revival styles. It has rendered walls scored to simulate ashlar masonry, a hip-and-gable roof with broadly overhanging gable eaves supported by large decoratively carved brackets, and one-story wings and porches. It was built by Justice William J. Robertson (1817-1898), who was the "acknowledged leader of the Virginia bar" during the second half of the 19th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Thomas Jonathan Jackson is a historic bronze equestrian statue of Confederate general Stonewall Jackson which was formerly located at Courthouse Historic District of Charlottesville, Virginia and installed in 1921. The statue was sculpted by Charles Keck and was the third of four works commissioned from members of the National Sculpture Society by philanthropist Paul Goodloe McIntire. It was the second of three statues McIntire donated to the city of Charlottesville, which he did over a period of five years from 1919 to 1924. The statue was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Court Square Park (formerly Jackson Park and Justice Park) is a public park in Charlottesville, Virginia. Court Square Park is 0.4 acres bounded by Jefferson Street, Fourth Street N.E., High Street and the Albemarle County Court Building. Paul Goodloe McIntire established the park in 1919 by donating the land to the city of Charlottesville.The park was originally named Jackson Park after Confederate general Stonewall Jackson. A statue of Jackson on horseback, Thomas Jonathan Jackson, was placed there in 1921.In November 2016 the Blue Ribbon Commission on Race, Memorials and Public Spaces published a report recommending transforming the statue into a monument for remembering racial oppression and to change the name from Jackson Park. In June 2017, the city council voted to change the name to Justice Park, and in July 2018, the name was changed again to Court Square Park.The statue was removed on July 10, 2021.

Rock Hill Academy was a private high school in Charlottesville, Virginia, established in 1959 when the city's schools were closed rather than comply with orders to desegregate following the landmark Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court ruling.In 1958, federal courts ordered the city's public high schools, Lane High School and Jackson P. Burley High School to integrate. The city chose instead to close its schools in a political stratagem called Massive resistance. Rock Hill Academy (a high school) and the Robert E. Lee School (elementary) were founded by the Charlottesville Education Foundation and the Parents' Committee for Emergency Schooling in Charlottesville.Tuition at Rock Hill was covered in part by state tuition grants. Grants to a "nonprofit, nonsectarian private school", even segregation academies, were upheld by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.The campus was taken over by Heritage Christian Academy (now defunct).

Carter–Gilmer House is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built about 1820, and is a three-story, three-bay, Federal style brick townhouse dwelling. The house has been divided into apartments.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
