Gasworks Newstead

Newstead Gasworks is a heritage-listed former gasometer at 70 Longland Street, Teneriffe, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1873 to 1887. It is also known as Brisbane Gas Company Gasworks and Newstead Gasworks No.2 gasholder. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 24 June 2005.

West's Furniture Showroom is a heritage-listed former shop at 620 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Karl Langer and built from 1952 to 1953. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 4 December 2015.

The Cloudland Dance Hall, originally called Luna Park, was a famous entertainment venue located in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was demolished in 1982 and the site was subsequently developed into an apartment complex. On its hilltop site above Brisbane, Cloudland's distinctive parabolic laminated roof arch, nearly 18 metres (59 ft) high, was highly visible. A funicular railway ran from the main road straight up the steep part of the hill and provided easy access to the ballroom site. The funicular was dismantled in 1967 and the area was turned into a car park. Cloudland was the venue for numerous formal balls, concerts, weekend dances, civic events, school and university examinations and, later, a marketplace.

Newstead Air Raid Shelter is a heritage-listed former air raid shelter at Commercial Road, Teneriffe, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Frank Gibson Costello and built c. 1942 by the Brisbane City Council. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 6 April 2005.

It was designed by Hall & Prentice and built from 1919 to 1962. It is also known as White Temple of Peace. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 11 November 1996.

Miegunyah is a heritage-listed detached house at 35 Jordan Terrace, Bowen Hills, Queensland, Australia. It was built c. 1885. It was also known as Beverley Wood. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. It is now home to the Queensland Women’s Historical Association and operated as a late 19th century period historic house museum.

Fortitude Valley Methodist Church and Hall are a heritage-listed former church and its hall (the second church on the site) at 116-120 Brookes Street, Fortitude Valley, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The first church (and later hall) was designed by James Cowlishaw and built from 1870 to 1871 by Thomas Reading. The third church was designed by George Simkin and built from 1887 to 1888 by Blair Cunningham. They are also known as Fortitude Valley Wesleyan Church & Church Hall, Gregory Place, Gregory Hall, and Epworth Centre. They were added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

StageDoor Dinner Theatre was officially opened on 17 July 2002 by Judy Cornwell (Daisy from Keeping Up Appearances). StageDoor Dinner Theatre is Brisbane's first permanent dinner theatre, with more than 54 productions to date. The dinner theatre is located in the lower level of the Twelfth Night Theatre complex in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. This is the permanent home to Starbuck Productions, a Queensland-based production company. Starbuck was established in early 1990s and has produced live entertainment in venues such as the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, The Suncorp Piazza, Seagulls International Showroom, the Twelfth Night Theatre and in regional touring venues throughout south east Queensland. Productions have included Hollywood Legend Mickey Rooney, Rhonda Burchmore, The Australian Tom Jones Spectacular and Little Shop of Horrors. The company is owned and run by radio and television producer and performer Damien Lee and dance school proprietor Doreen Thomas. Now at the StageDoor Dinner Theatre they have produced the classic Neil Simon comedy The Odd Couple, Dan Goggin's Nunsense, the award-winning rock musical Return to the Forbidden Planet, the family Christmas Pantomime SC Superstar, the New Year's cabaret Rock Down The Clock, the heartwarming British drama Beautiful Thing, and the Southern Hemisphere Premiere of Gilligan's Island: The Musical which had a run of 34 weeks, over three productions. StageDoor has also held a number of single performance shows, for example featuring Tom Burlinson, Amanda Muggleton and more recently Ian Maurice.
