University Hall Turf Field

University Hall was an 8,457-seat multi-purpose arena on the University of Virginia Grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia. The arena opened in 1965 as a replacement for Memorial Gym; it was demolished on May 25, 2019, with Ralph Sampson leading the demolition. Like many arenas built at the time, the arena was circular, with a ribbed concrete roof and blue and orange seats (the orange seats arranged in a "V" near the top of each section) that surrounded the arena. Unlike many other facilities, however, the floor was never lowered for additional seating around the court, which left large areas behind press row, the team benches, and the announcer's table empty during games. University Hall was replaced by the John Paul Jones Arena as the home to the men's and women's basketball teams in 2006. UVa's athletic department held "final game" ceremonies for University Hall in connection with the men's basketball game against the Maryland Terrapins on March 5, 2006. UVA legend Ralph Sampson sank ceremonial "last baskets" at U-Hall, dunking twice during postgame festivities. [1] However, the women's basketball team made the Women's National Invitational Tournament and played and won two WNIT games in University Hall.

The McCue Center, located in Charlottesville, Virginia, is one of the central athletic buildings at the University of Virginia. Named after Dr. Frank C. Mccue III, the building includes an athletic training clinic and weight room used by a variety of the University's athletes and staff. The building also includes the offices, locker rooms, and meeting areas for the Virginia Cavaliers football team. Additionally, the McCue Center holds the offices for the Athletic Director and other administrative staff.

John Paul Jones Arena, or JPJ, is a multi-purpose arena owned by the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Since November 2006, it serves as the home to the Virginia Cavaliers men's and women's basketball teams, as well as for concerts and other events. With seating for 14,623 fans (nearly twice the capacity of its predecessor, University Hall) John Paul Jones Arena is the largest indoor arena in Virginia and the biggest Atlantic Coast Conference basketball arena located outside of large metropolitan areas. Sports Illustrated named John Paul Jones Arena the best new college basketball arena of the 2000s.Virginia men's basketball is 206–46 (.817) at John Paul Jones Arena as of March 2021. The Cavaliers have fared even better, 167–30 (.848), at JPJ during the Tony Bennett era. Virginia fans in the arena are known for cheering loudly for defensive stands and for providing what Rick Pitino, who went winless in three attempts at JPJ, called "one of the best home court advantages [he's] ever seen" where Wahoo fans seem like they are "on top of you." JPJ opened for basketball on November 12, 2006, as Virginia defeated No. 10 ranked Arizona, 93–90, and handed Lute Olson a season-opening loss in his final season.

Morea is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1835, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, vernacular brick dwelling. It features an original recessed second-story verandah, an interior structural arcade, and a semidetached office wing. It is the only surviving dwelling built by one of the original University of Virginia faculty members approved by Thomas Jefferson. Its owner, John Patten Emmet, was the school's first professor of natural history. It is now owned by the University of Virginia and serves as the co-residence for both the Principal and the Director of Studies of the International Residential College.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Recoleta, also known as Rothery, is a historic home located at Charlottesville, Virginia. It was built in 1940, and is a two- to three-story, U-shaped, Spanish Colonial Revival style dwelling. The house is constructed of stuccoed reinforced cinder block and has a red tile gable roof, arched openings, an exterior stair, a balcony, and steel-framed casement windows. The "U" contains a patio enclosed by a loggia with a garden front. Also on the property is a contributing garden enclosed by a cinder block wall built in 1946 that incorporates a fountain wall with a tile roof, circular lantern niches, and a patio. The house was built for University of Virginia music professor Harry Rogers Pratt and his wife, Agnes Edwards Rothery Pratt.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The International Residential College (also known as the IRC) was established in 2001, and is the newest residential college at the University of Virginia. It comprises Mary Munford, Roberta Gwathmey, Yen (formerly Lewis), and Hoxton dorms (also sometimes referred to as 'houses'), all of which existed before the IRC was established. The IRC houses 317 students of all years at UVA, with international students making up 30% of the students living at the IRC, representing 29 countries.

The Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center at the University of Virginia opened in 1997 right next to Memorial Gymnasium. The 13-court facility showcases Virginia's men's and women's tennis teams.

The Aviator is a historical sculpture located on the University of Virginia campus near Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Virginia.

Lambeth Field or "The Colonnades" was a college football, baseball, and track stadium for the University of Virginia, named for W. A. Lambeth.

Klöckner Stadium is a multi-purpose sports stadium located on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. The stadium is home to the Virginia Cavaliers's men's and women's soccer team in the fall, and the men's and women's lacrosse teams in the spring. The stadium was designed by VMDO Architects and built in 1992 at a cost of $3.4 million, and its naming rights were awarded to the Klöckner Group of Germany for $1.2 million.

Memorial Gymnasium is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Charlottesville, Virginia. It opened in 1924. It replaced Fayerweather Gymnasium as home to the University of Virginia Cavaliers basketball team until University Hall opened in 1965.

The University of Virginia School of Architecture is the graduate school of architecture at the University of Virginia, a public research university in Charlottesville, Virginia. The school offers master's, doctoral and limited bachelor's programmes in architecture, landscape architecture, architectural history, and urban and environmental planning. Additionally, the school offers a certificate in historic preservation. Founded by Thomas Jefferson, and set in the UNESCO World Heritage Academical Village, the school was founded in 1919, but the original vision for the school dated to 1826. To date, the school is considered a leader for architectural studies, and is ranked among the top ten schools of architecture in the United States.
