Poria, Israel

Poria Illit (Hebrew: פּוֹרִיָּה עִלִּית, lit. "Upper Poria") is a community settlement in northern Israel. Located near the southwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 1,264.

Poria – Neve Oved (Hebrew: פּוֹרִיָּה - נְוֵה עוֹבֵד) is a community settlement in northern Israel. Located to the south-east of the Sea of Galilee near Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 1,326.

Poria – Kfar Avoda (Hebrew: פּוֹרִיָּה - כְּפָר עֲבוֹדָה, lit. "Poria - Village [of] Labour") is a community settlement in northern Israel. Located to the south-east of the Sea of Galilee near Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 412.

Baruch Padeh Medical Center (Hebrew: בית חולים ברוך פדה, Beit Holim Barukh Padeh), also known as Poriya Medical Center, is a general hospital located just south of Tiberias, in the Galilee region of Israel.

Al-Manara (Arabic: المنارة) was a Palestinian Arab village in the Tiberias Subdistrict. It was depopulated during the 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on March 1, 1948, by Jewish troops. It was located 5 km south of Tiberias.

Galilee (; Hebrew: הַגָּלִיל, romanized: hagGālīl; Latin: Galilaea; Arabic: الجليل, romanized: al-jalīl) is a region located in northern Israel and southern Lebanon. Galilee traditionally refers to the mountainous part, divided into Upper Galilee (הגליל העליון, ha-galil ha-elyon; الجليل الأعلى, al-jalīl al-aʾlā) and Lower Galilee (גליל תחתון, galil tahton; الجليل الأسفل, al-jalīl al-asfal). Galilee refers to all of the area north of the Mount Carmel-Mount Gilboa ridge and south of the east–west section of the Litani River. It extends from the Israeli coastal plain and the shores of the Mediterranean Sea with Acre in the west, to the Jordan Rift Valley to the east; and from the Litani in the north plus a piece bordering on the Golan Heights all the way to Dan at the base of Mount Hermon in the northeast, to Mount Carmel and Mount Gilboa in the south. This definition includes the plains of the Jezreel Valley north of Jenin and the Beth Shean Valley, the valley containing the Sea of Galilee, and the Hula Valley, although it usually does not include Haifa's immediate northern suburbs. By this definition it overlaps with much of the administrative Northern District of Israel and with Southern Lebanon.

Alumot (Hebrew: אֲלֻמּוֹת, lit. "Sheaves") is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located to the south of the Sea of Galilee, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 445.

Kinneret (Hebrew: כִּנֶּרֶת), also known as Moshavat Kinneret to distinguish it from the neighbouring settlement of Kvutzat Kinneret (which is organised as a kibbutz), is a moshava on the southwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. Located in the north of the Jordan Valley, 6 kilometers south of Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. The village sits at around 185 meters below sea level, and in 2022 it had a population of 700. Kinneret Farm, an experimental training farm, was founded at the same time as the moshava and adjacent to it, as a separate and autonomous project.

HaZor'im (Hebrew: הַזּוֹרְעִים) is a religious moshav in northern Israel. Located three kilometres south-west of Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Lower Galilee Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 1,134.

Kvutzat Kinneret (Hebrew: קְבוּצַת כִּנֶּרֶת), also known as Kibbutz Kinneret, is a kibbutz in northern Israel. The settlement group (kvutza) was established in 1913, and moved from the Kinneret training farm to the permanent location in 1929. Located to the southwest of the Sea of Galilee near Tiberias and next to Moshavat Kinneret, it falls under the jurisdiction of Emek HaYarden Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 715.

Kinneret Farm (Hebrew: חוות כנרת, romanized: Havat Kinneret) or Kinneret Courtyard (Hebrew: חצר כנרת, romanized: Hatzer Kinneret) was an experimental training farm established in 1908 in Ottoman Palestine by the Palestine Bureau of the Zionist Organization (ZO) led by Arthur Ruppin, at the same time as, and next to Moshavat Kinneret, a moshava-type village. The farm stood in close proximity to the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Until the early 1920s the farm was a hothouse and catalyst for social and economical innovation, which helped mold and create several essential institutions and infrastructure elements of the Yishuv, perpetuated in the State of Israel after 1948: communal settlement forms (kvutza, kibbutz, moshav), women's rights movement, cooperative enterprises (for supplies and financial aid, milk collection and dairy production, construction and public works), a workers' savings and support bank, public health care system, a national paramilitary organisation. From 1949 on, after the establishment of the State of Israel, the courtyard served different lesser military and civilian purposes, was abandoned, then restored as a heritage site, and it 2007 it was opened as a museum and educational centre.

Mishmar HaShlosha (Hebrew: משמר השלושה) (lit. Sentinel of the Three) was a moshav in the eastern part of the Lower Galilee, located in the Yavne'el Valley and adjacent to the moshava Yavne'el. Mishmar HaShlosha officially became part of Yavne'el in 1953. The moshav was founded on 13 April 1937 on lands purchased by the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association. It was a Tower and stockade settlement, established to populate the area between Beit Gan and Yavne'el. The village was named for three residents of Yavne'el, Moshe Zalman Ben-Sasson, Yehuda Aliovic and Gedaliah Geller, who on March 14, 1937 walked from Beit Gan towards Yavne'el and were murdered by Arabs on the way.
