The El Paso Museum of History is a museum located in downtown El Paso, Texas which presents information about past 400 years of history in the United States/Mexico border region. The museum has over 16,000 feet of exhibition space. Galleries in the museum feature traveling exhibitions as well as several permanent exhibitions. The museum also presents special programs and has a permanent digital touchscreen wall and a traveling wall. The museum is run by the City of El Paso.

Judson F. Williams Convention Center, better known as the El Paso Civic Center, is located on Santa Fe Street in downtown El Paso, Texas, adjacent to the Abraham Chavez Theatre. It was expanded in 2002 and now features 80,000 square feet (7,000 m2) of columnless exhibit space (divided into three halls) with seating for up to 8,000 people. The convention center also has three lobbies totalling 38,300 square feet (3,560 m2), including a 23,000-square-foot (2,100 m2) main lobby, plus 14,900 square feet (1,380 m2) of meeting space. Williams Convention Center's ceiling height is 28 feet (9 m); the center has excellent acoustics for many conventions and concerts held at the center. Trade shows and other special events also held at Williams Convention Center. The convention center is also home to the Sun Bowl Fan Fiesta.

La Nube (Spanish for 'The Cloud') is a children's museum and science center in Downtown El Paso, Texas. It was funded in part by El Paso bonds in 2012, and after several years of delays, it opened on August 10, 2024. La Nube holds 77,000 square feet (7,200 m2) of floor space and cost $72 million.

Railroad and Transportation Museum of El Paso is a railroad museum in El Paso, Texas, United States.

Founded in 1959, The El Paso Museum of Art (EPMA) is located in downtown El Paso, Texas. First accredited in 1972, it is the only accredited art museum within a 250-mile radius and serves approximately 100,000 visitors per year. A new building was completed in 1998. In addition to its permanent collections and special exhibitions, the museum also offers art classes, film series, lectures, concerts, storytelling sessions and other educational programs to the West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico community.

The El Paso Public Libraries is the municipal public library system of El Paso, Texas. The library serves the needs the public in El Paso, Texas, Chaparral, New Mexico and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. It consists of 14 branches and one Bookmobile service. Multiple outreach services are also available including a Homebound service. The main collection consists of 902,521 items in multiple formats including books, reference, downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, music and movies, DVDs, CDs, large-print books, magazines, and newspapers. Special Collections include a Government Documents Collection, Border Heritage Collection, and RAZA Collection.

Abraham Chavez Theatre, known simply as the Chavez Theatre, is a 2,500-seat concert hall located in El Paso, Texas. It is adjacent to the Williams Convention Center. Its exterior resembles a sombrero and features a three-story glass main entrance. The Abraham Chavez Theatre is named after Maestro Abraham Chavez who was the longtime conductor of the El Paso Symphony. Famous people who have performed here include Gabriel Iglesias, Aaron Velasco, Tim Black, Hunter Downing, Erik Carvajal and Joshua Ryan. Inside, the theatre has a 5,000-square-foot (460 m2) lobby and a 40-by-56-foot stage as well as 14 dressing rooms. The theater's seating is in three levels. There is also a meeting room adjacent to the theater. Events held at Chavez Theatre include concerts, Broadway shows, graduation ceremonies, performances of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, and other special events. After the death of Quinton Stralzburg in the main auditorium, stories of evil spirits and demons have become uncommon among the custodial staff.The theatre may become the designated home of the Mexican-American Cultural Center in El Paso, though the site is in need of "extensive repairs," according to El Paso, Inc. in 2016.

El Paso Union Depot is an Amtrak train station in El Paso, Texas, served by the Texas Eagle and Sunset Limited. The station was designed by architect Daniel Burnham, who also designed Washington D.C. Union Station. It was built between 1905 and 1906 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Duranguito (or Barrio Duranguito) is a historic neighborhood in El Paso, Texas. It is located in the greater Union Plaza district and is located on the south side of Downtown El Paso near the neighborhoods of El Segundo Barrio and Chihuahuita. It is considered to be one of the oldest neighborhoods in El Paso, and it officially became an organized residential area in 1859. The neighborhood houses a number a historic buildings, the oldest dating back to 1879. It is often considered to be the birthplace of the city of El Paso. This area has a rich history ranging from the Mexican Revolution on, but recently regained prominence in 2016 when the El Paso city government voted to demolish the neighborhood in favor of a new arena. Controversy, debate, and lawsuits have ensued since the city proposed the demolition, and historical preservationists and local activists have fought against city officials and property owners to oppose the new arena and have instead proposed for the neighborhood to be included in a new historical district.

Old Bnai Zion Synagogue, also known as Sunset Palace, is a historic synagogue at 906 N. El Paso Street in El Paso, Texas. It was built in 1916 and added to the National Register in 1984.It served as synagogue from 1912 to 1917, serving El Paso's first Jewish community. It served St. Nicholas Greek Church from 1927 through at least 1934. In 1984 it was serving as a dance studio, Sunset Palace, as well as sometimes as a social center and church.

The Anson Mills Building is a historic building located at 303 North Oregon Street in El Paso, Texas. The building stands on the original site of the 1832 Ponce de León ranch. Anson Mills hired Henry C. Trost of the Trost and Trost architectural firm to design and construct the building. Trost was the area's foremost pioneer in the use of reinforced concrete. Built in 1910–1911, the building was only the second concrete-frame skyscraper in the United States, and one of the largest all-concrete buildings. At 145 feet (44 m), the 12-story Mills Building was the tallest building in El Paso when completed. The architectural firm of Trost and Trost moved its offices to the building upon completion, where they remained until 1920. The Mills family sold the building in 1965. The building stands on a corner site opposite San Jacinto Plaza, with a gracefully curved street facade that wraps around the south and east sides. Like many of Trost's designs, the Anson Mills Building's overall form and strong verticality, as well as details of the ornamentation and cornice, are reminiscent of the Chicago School work of Louis Sullivan. In 1974, the Mills Building's windows were replaced with vertical bands of mirrored glass, radically altering its appearance. The Mills Building was designated as a Texas Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1981.
