Town of Wynnum

Wynnum railway station is located on the Cleveland line in Queensland, Australia. It is one of three stations serving the Brisbane suburb of Wynnum, the other two being Wynnum North and Wynnum Central.

Wynnum was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1923 to 1986.The district was based in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane and named for the suburb of Wynnum.

It is also known as the Queensland Ambulance Museum and the QATB Station. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 26 March 1999. It is open by appointment.

Nazareth House is a heritage-listed benevolent institution at 272 Wynnum North Road, Wynnum, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1924 to 1939. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 2 April 2002.

Iona College is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex day school for boys, located in the Brisbane suburb of Wynnum West (in an area previously known as Lindum), in Queensland, Australia. Iona is operated by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a religious order that was founded in 1816 by Saint Eugene de Mazenod. Founded in 1958, the college caters for approximately 1,720 students from years 5 to 12 on a 27-hectare (67-acre) campus approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) east of the Brisbane central business district. In 2015, Michael Twigg O.M.I. was appointed Rector of the college. In 2019 the Board and Oblates appointed Trevor Goodwin as the first principal of Iona. Michael Twigg remains in a strong pastoral, leadership role as Rector, Mr Mark Harvey is currently the dean of students. In 2018, 83% of OP Eligible students had an OP1-15.

The BMD Kougari Oval is a sports venue in the Brisbane, Australia suburb of Manly West. Since 1967, it has been the home of the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls, a rugby league club playing in the Queensland Cup. The ground has a capacity of about 5,000 spectators, and the current naming-rights sponsor is The BMD Group, a Brisbane urban development company.The ground is occasionally used for trial matches by the Brisbane Broncos, to which the Seagulls are affiliated, and has been used for youth internationals by the Australia national schoolboy rugby league team - one of which resulted in that team's heaviest defeat, an 8-46 loss to the Junior Kiwis in 2005. The ground was built by the club on land purchased in 1964, and was originally known as Wondall Road ground. The current name was adopted in about 1971, and comes from the Yugambeh word for seagull.

Mount Carmel Convent is a heritage-listed former Roman Catholic convent at 199 Bay Terrace, Wynnum, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Hall & Dods and built in 1915 by William Richard Juster. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 August 1999.
