Hülscheid is a village in district Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 1969 it was suburbanised to Schalksmühle.

Dahl, now officially Hagen-Dahl, is a locality within the independent city of Hagen in the southeastern Ruhr, in Germany. It was incorporated into Hagen in 1975 together with Rummenohl and Priorei.

Rummenohl, now officially Hagen-Rummenohl, is a locality within the independent city of Hagen in the eastern part of the Ruhr region, in Germany. It lies in the valley of the river Volme, about 13 km upstream (south) of the city centre of Hagen.

Priorei (officially Hagen-Priorei) is a small town on the River Volme in the Ruhr district of Germany. Administratively a part of the independent urban district of Hagen (North Rhine Westphalia) since 1975, it is situated some 12 km south of Hagen city centre. Priorei is best known for an ancient tree, believed to be over 1000 years old, the Priorlinde (the prior's lime). This is the basis of the town's name, although no priory ever existed here: it is a corruption of an Old High German word meaning a place of assembly for law making, and such assemblies were commonly held under a lime tree. Numerous mills, smithies, and foundries arose along the Volme in the pre-industrial age, harnessing the river's power, and Priorei was one of the localities in which the iron industry developed during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Priorei lies on federal road 54 (Gronau – Wiesbaden) and is served by bus route 510 (Baukloh – Hagen – Sterbecke).

Nahmerbach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It flows into the Lenne near Hagen-Hohenlimburg.

Hagen-Hohenlimburg station is the only station in the Hohenlimburg district of Hagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Ruhr–Sieg railway and classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.

Schalksmühle station is in the town of Schalksmühle in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Hagen–Dieringhausen railway (also called the Volmetalbahn: Volme Valley Railway) and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.The station is on the edge of central Schalksmühle. The only platform connects to the station forecourt and is at ground level. It was recently planned to restore the line to two tracks to allow services on the line to run at 30-minute intervals. This has not been carried out, but reduplication is still possible if needed.

Elsey Abbey, earlier Elsey Priory (German: Kloster Elsey) is a former women's religious house located near Elsey, now part of Hohenlimburg, Hagen, Germany. It was founded in about 1220 by Friedrich von Isenberg for Premonstratensian canonesses and endowed with the local parish church and other possessions. In the 15th century it became a house of secular canonesses of the nobility (a Damenstift) under an abbess. In the 16th century during the Reformation the parish became Protestant and the abbey followed suit in due course. It was dissolved in 1810 during the secularisation of the period. There remain the Romanesque church and some of the canonesses' houses.

The Märkischer Kreis is a district (Kreis) in central North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Neighbouring districts are Unna, Soest, Hochsauerland, Olpe, Oberbergischer Kreis, Ennepe-Ruhr, and the city of Hagen.

Limburg-Hohenlimburg was a county in Germany in the Middle Ages. It was created as a partition of Limburg-Isenberg by Diederck I of Isenberg, who called himself in 1246 Diederick I van Limburg. Of Diederick's two sons, the eldest son Johan who died in 1277 at the adge of thirty and left two sons and one daughter. He is the ancestor of the lordship Styrum. His youger brother Everhard continued 30 years more, the struggle with his father for the conquest of former Isenberger family property. Everhard, in 1301 the 'nearest in the bloodline', succeeded his father.

Lüdenscheid-Brügge station is on the Hagen–Dieringhausen railway from Hagen Hauptbahnhof to Dieringhausen station in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 7 station. Because of the branch line to Lüdenscheid, it is classified as a separation station. The station is located on the edge of the Lüdenscheid hamlet of Brügge. There is an island platform with tracks which connects with the bus stop at ground level. The station is known nationally for its elevated disused but preserved signalbox. The station was called Brügge (Westfalen) until 10 December 2017.
