The Lynch River is a 9.8-mile-long (15.8 km) tributary of the North Fork Rivanna River in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is part of the James River watershed. It rises at the unincorporated community of Mission Home near the boundary of Shenandoah National Park and flows southeast past Shady Grove and Nortonsville to join the Roach River, forming the North Fork of the Rivanna at their confluence. The Lynch River flows through Greene and Albemarle counties, crossing their boundary several times.

The Roach River is an 11.0-mile-long (17.7 km) tributary of the North Fork Rivanna River in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is part of the James River watershed. It rises at Powell Gap in Shenandoah National Park and flows southeast, passing the communities of Bacon Hollow and Dyke. Flowing entirely within Greene County, it joins the Lynch River to form the North Fork of the Rivanna just north of the Albemarle County line.

Estes Farm is a historic home and farm complex located near Dyke, Albemarle County, Virginia. It includes a c. 1840 log dwelling and a c. 1880 wood framed main house, as well as numerous supporting outbuildings including a large barn (c. 1840), an icehouse/well house (c. 1880), a tenant house (c. 1880), the log dwelling (c. 1840), a small hay/tobacco barn (c. 1920), a garage (c. 1900), and three small sheds. Also on the property is a contributing truss bridge (c. 1915). The house is a two-story, three-bay frame I-house building with a hipped roof. A two-story half-hipped central rear ell was added in 1976. It is representative of a transitional Greek Revival / Italianate style. It features a one-story three-bay porch fronting the central entrance, and exterior-end brick chimneys.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Greene County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse located at Stanardsville, Greene County, Virginia. It was built in 1838–1839, and is a two-story, gable roofed brick building. The front facade features a three-bay, pedimented tetrastyle portico addition using Tuscan order columns and a Roman Doric entablature added in 1927–1928. The building is topped by a distinctive cupola.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Advance Mills, also known as Fray's Mill, is an unincorporated community in Albemarle County, Virginia. It is a historic mill village dating from 1810. The community was built by the Fray family, who moved there in 1833. A historic district including its area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.The community first became known as "Advance Mills" in 1888, and the traditional story is that the name was coined by John Fray "who claimed that people frequently commented upon all the advances being made there.": 19 The National Register-listed area is 85 acres (34 ha) and included 18 contributing buildings and 2 contributing sites and 3 contributing structures.
