Mount Sheridan is a 13,748-foot (4,190 m) mountain summit on the boundary shared by Lake County and Park County, in Colorado, United States.

Mount Sherman is a high mountain summit in the Mosquito Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 14,043-foot (4,280 m) fourteener is located 6.8 miles (11.0 km) east by south (bearing 103°) of the City of Leadville, Colorado, United States, on the drainage divide separating Lake County from Park County. The mountain was named in honor of General William Tecumseh Sherman.

Gemini Peak is a summit in the Mosquito Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 13,958-foot (4,254 m) mountain is located 0.68 miles (1.1 km) north northeast of Mount Sherman, on the drainage divide separating Lake County from Park County. Gemini Peak is appropriately named considering the mountain has two distinct summits and that the Latin word Gemini means "twins." The northeast summit is slightly higher than its southwest "twin."

Dyer Mountain is a high mountain summit in the Mosquito Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 13,862-foot (4,225 m) thirteener is located 5.9 miles (9.5 km) east (bearing 95°) of the City of Leadville, Colorado, United States, on the drainage divide separating Lake County from Park County. The mountain was named in honor of frontier preacher John Lewis Dyer.

The Leadville Historic District is in the mining town of Leadville, Colorado. The National Historic Landmark District includes 67 mines in the mining district east of the city up to the 12,000 foot (3658 m) level, and a defined portion of the village area. It was designated in 1961. Then, when the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) program was started in 1966, Leadville's National Historic District was included in its first day's listings, along with all other existing National Historic Landmarks. The NRHP district was later expanded, adding a number of structures along the Harrison Avenue corridor, and making them eligible for historic preservation grants and tax subsidies, too.

Adelaide is an extinct mining town located in Lake County, Colorado, United States. The site of the former town is located about one mile west of downtown Leadville through Stray Horse Gulch and two-thirds of a mile north of Nugget Gulch.

The Matchless Mine is a historic mine located in Lake County, Colorado. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is part of the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum.

The North London Mill is a gold mill in Park County, Colorado that commenced operations in 1883. In 1874, the first London mine was opened, named for the mountain it burrowed into. The London mines became some of the most productive mines of gold, silver and lead in the area. Between 1879 and 1889, some $82,000,000 of silver was processed in the Leadville area during the Colorado Silver Boom. Due to the rugged environment and high altitude, transportation of ore between the mines and mill was difficult and costly. Thus, the first rope cable-way in Colorado was built to carry ore down the thousand-vertical-foot slope from the mine to the mill. The mine was owned by William K. Jewett of New York and Colorado Springs. The North London Mill site is at 11,400 feet above sea level, West of Park City on County Road 12 (Mosquito Pass Road) outside of Alma in Park County, and has been recognized by the Park County Historic Preservation Advisory Committee as a local landmark. Mosquito Pass, at an elevation of 13,185 feet, is crossed by the highest through road in North America, and its access roads are rich in mining heritage. Constructed in the late 1870s, the Mosquito Pass Road was used despite its treacherous terrain because it is the shortest route between Fairplay and Leadville. It is the lowest-elevation pass over the highest ridge in the United States (outside Alaska) and the Rocky Mountain Range, and as such has particular fauna and flora such as Penland's alpine fen mustard, not found elsewhere in the lower 48 states.

The Tabor Opera House is an opera house in Leadville, Colorado. Opened in 1879, The building has been designated a national treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Dexter Cabin was the Leadville, Colorado home and hunting lodge of James V. Dexter, a mining investor and businessman. Although it is a cabin, the interior has been described as "surprisingly plush," "elegantly finished," and "incredibly ornate.".It is a Colorado State Historic Site and is operated as a museum by the state under History Colorado, together with Healy House. The two are located within the Leadville Historic District, which is itself a National Historic Landmark. Dexter Cabin was moved to its present location next to Healy House. Dexter Cabin was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Healy House Museum was the Leadville, Colorado home built in 1878 by mining engineer and city father August R. Meyer for his bride, Emma. It was purchased in 1888 by Daniel Healy (1857-1912), who operated a boarding house with his cousin Nellie Healy. An immigrant from Ireland, Healy served Leadville as a mail carrier and later assistant postmaster. He subsequently started several successful businesses and represented Leadville in Colorado's state legislature from 1903 to 1905. After Daniel Healy had died in 1912, the house was given to his sister, nieces, and cousin Nellie Healy. Nellie continued to live in and operate the boarding house until 1936. She donated the house to the historical association in 1936 under the condition that the house be used to benefit the city. In 1938, Clara Gaw Norton oversaw restoration work at the house paid for through grant money from the Boettcher Foundation. Norton hoped to turn the Healy House into the city's first history museum.Healy House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Currently it is a Colorado State Historic Site and is operated as a Victorian era museum by the state under History Colorado, together with Dexter Cabin. The two are located within the Leadville Historic District, which is itself a National Historic Landmark. The restored house serves as an example of the "Elegant Eighties".
