JFK Stadium (Springfield, Missouri)

The Second Battle of Springfield was a battle in the American Civil War fought January 8, 1863, in Springfield, Missouri. It is sometimes known as The Battle of Springfield. (The First Battle of Springfield was fought on October 25, 1861, and there was also the better-known Battle of Wilson's Creek, fought nearby on August 10, 1861.) Fighting was urban and house-to-house, which was rare in the war.

The Johnny Morris Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, also known as simply Wonders of Wildlife is a not-for-profit educational conservation-themed attraction in Springfield, Missouri. It is located adjacent to the Bass Pro Shops National headquarters, and is named for Johnny Morris, the Bass Pro Shops' founder. The 350,000 square foot facility consists of two major sections. The Wildlife Museum presents a series of immersive wildlife galleries containing taxidermied animals from around the world displayed in elaborate and detailed dioramas representing a variety of natural habitats, as well as historic artifacts, artwork, films, and special exhibits, including the Boone and Crockett Club's North American Heads and Horns Collection of big game mounts. The 1.5 million gallon (5.7 million liter) Aquarium showcases 35,000 individual fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals in a series of themed areas including an ocean shipwreck, Louisiana swamp, Ozark forest, and the Amazon rainforest. In a press release accompanying the facility's grand opening announcement Morris was quoted as saying, “Wonders of Wildlife is an inspirational journey around the world that celebrates the role of hunters and anglers as America’s true conservation heroes.”

J.E. King Manufacturing Company, also known as the Long-King Furniture, Cloud Furniture Manufacturing, and Springfield Seed Company, is a historic daylight factory building located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built in 1922, and expanded in the 1930s and 1940s. It is a two-story, L-shaped red brick building with a Streamline Moderne Style-influenced glass block storefront at first floor level. Also on the property is a contributing building that housed electrical transformers.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Robert B. and Vitae A. Kite Apartment Building is a historic apartment building located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built about 1906, and is a small-scale two-story brick apartment building, with a symmetrical square plan. It houses four apartment units on the first and second floors in a two-over-two configuration. It features a two-story stacked wood porch characteristic of the Porched Square Apartment.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Day House is a historic home located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built in 1875, and is a two-story, five-bay, L-plan brick dwelling. It features a mansard roof with triple dormers. It was the home of Springfield businessman and local politician, George Sale Day.: 2, 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Pearl Apartments and Windsor Apartments are two historic apartment buildings located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. The Pearl Apartments were built in 1926, and the Windsor Apartments in 1937. They are almost identical and are three-story, Commercial Block buildings of wood-frame construction with a brick exterior. They have an unadorned brick facade consisting of three bays of paired window openings with limestone quoins and sills.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Wise Feed Company Building, also known as the Motor Mart Garage Building, is a historic commercial building located at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. It was built about 1930, and is a two-story, rectangular tan brick commercial building. It has a flat roof and rests on a concrete foundation. It features decorative brickwork on the front facade.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Mother's Brewing Company is an independent microbrewery in the heart of downtown Springfield, Missouri, USA, brewing beer since 2011. The beers are currently distributed in the majority of Missouri, Arkansas, and the most eastern portion of Kansas.

The Diocese of Springfield–Cape Girardeau (Latin: Dioecesis Campifontis–Capitis Girardeauensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in southern Missouri in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Saint Louis. As of 2023, the current bishop of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau is Edward M. Rice. The diocese has two cathedrals: St. Agnes Cathedral in Springfield and the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Annunciation in Cape Girardeau.
