Glenmont, New York

WPBZ-FM (103.9 MHz, "The Breeze") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Rensselaer, New York, and serving the Capital District, including the Albany-Schenectady-Troy radio market. The station is owned by Townsquare Media and airs a soft adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for part of November and December. The studios and offices are on Kings Road in Schenectady. WPBZ-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts, with its transmitter off Smultz Road in Glenmont, New York.

Kenwood was a hamlet in the Town of Bethlehem, New York. The hamlet spanned both sides of the Normans Kill near the area where the Normans Kill flows into the Hudson River. In 1870, and again in 1910, northern portions of Kenwood were annexed by the City of Albany, New York.

Bethlehem Center, also known as Babcock's Corners or Bethlehem Centre, is a hamlet in the Town of Bethlehem in Albany County, New York. It is located at the junction of U.S. Route 9W (US 9W) and New York State Route 910A (NY 910A) also known as Feura Bush Road / Glenmont Road.

The Port of Albany–Rensselaer, widely known as the Port of Albany, is a port of entry in the United States with facilities on both sides of the Hudson River in Albany and Rensselaer, New York. Private and public port facilities have existed in both cities since the 17th century, with an increase in shipping after the Albany Basin and Erie Canal were built with public funds in 1825. The port's modern name did not come into widespread use until 1925; the current port was constructed in 1932 under the governorship of Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression. It included the largest grain elevator in the world at the time. Today the grain elevator is the largest in the United States east of the Mississippi River; the port has the tallest harbor crane in the state of New York. The port has rail connections with the Albany Port Railroad, which allows for connections with CSXT and CP Rail. It is near several interstates and the New York State Canal System. The port features several tourist attractions as well, such as USS Slater, the only destroyer escort still afloat in the United States.

Nut Grove, also known as the William Walsh House, is a historic house located on McCarty Avenue in Albany, New York, United States. It is a brick building originally designed in the Greek Revival architectural style by architect Alexander Jackson Davis in the mid-19th century. In 1974 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.It is Davis's only house in that style in the Hudson Valley, and one of the rare Greek Revival houses to use the "Grecian country house" variant of the style. In the early 20th century it was modified for use as a hospital. Today it is part of a drug treatment clinic, known as the Reilly House and used for sober living. Much of its original ornamentation is gone, but it retains the basic form and some of the interior decoration.

WGDJ (1300 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Rensselaer, New York, and serving the Capital District. It airs a talk radio format and is owned and operated by Capital Broadcasting, Inc. The transmitter is off River Road (New York State Route 9J) in Rensselaer. Programming is also heard in Albany and Rensselaer on 80-watt FM translator W254DA at 98.7 MHz.WGDJ features local talk hosts in morning and afternoon drive times. Weekdays begin with "The Paul Vandenburgh Show." It's considered the longest running radio talk program in The Capital District. In afternoons, Jack Chatham hosts a local talk program. The rest of the weekday schedule is nationally syndicated conservative talk shows, including Mark Levin, Brian Kilmeade, Dan Bongino, Guy Benson, Rich Valdes, "Red Eye Radio" and "First Light." Weekends feature shows on money, law, guns, home repair, car repair as well as a local swap and trade show. The station also features local news most hours on weekdays, with national updates from Townhall Radio News. Traffic and weather reports are presented by Spectrum News.

Cherry Hill is a historic house located on South Pearl Street (New York State Route 32) in Albany, New York, United States. It is a timber frame structure dating to the late 18th century. In 1971 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of the first properties in the city to receive that designation.It was built by Colonel Philip Kiliaen van Rensselaer for his bride Maria Sanders, granddaughter of Peter Schuyler. During the early 19th century, it was the home of Solomon van Rensselaer, who served in Congress and several local governmental positions. It eventually became the manor house of a large farm. Within several years during the 1820s it was both accommodations for the Marquis de Lafayette on his return visit to the U.S. and the scene of a murder which led to the last public hanging in Albany following a controversial trial. It is reputedly haunted.Van Rensselaer's descendants lived there for nearly two centuries, preserving intact not only the original interior finishes but also its furniture, portraits, kitchenware and family documents. Since their tenure, it has been operated as a historic house museum by the Historic Cherry Hill Association. It is currently undergoing an extensive restoration since the building was in danger of collapsing under the weight of its stored collections.

Castle Island is a former island located in the city of Albany, Albany County, New York. Over the past 400 years, Castle Island has been referred to as Martin Gerritse's Island, Patroon's Island, Van Rensselaer Island, and—since the late 19th century--Westerlo Island. (Van Rensselaer Island is also the name of a former island opposite Albany in the city of Rensselaer.) The land known as Castle Island has been connected to the mainland and now forms a part of the Port of Albany.

Bellizzi Field is a ballpark located in Albany, New York, United States. It is located at the Christian Plumeri Sports Complex. It is home to the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights and the former home of the Albany Dutchmen of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. It opened in 2010 and seats about 1,000 people.
