The Diego Rivera Learning Complex (DRLC) is a high school in Los Angeles. It is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It was formerly known as South Region High School No. 2. It is named after the artist Diego Rivera, and consists of four small schools: Public Service Community School, Communication and Technology (CATS), Green Design, and Performing Arts. It is managed by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation. The Newton Division of the Los Angeles Police Department is responsible for law enforcement in Bethune Park. Bethune Park is named in honor of Mary Jane McLeod Bethune, who was an African-American political activist, education reformer, and advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Broadway Community Hospital was a 56-bed hospital located at 9500 South Broadway, in the Broadway-Manchester district of Los Angeles, California.The hospital was abruptly closed by its staff (and its 17 patients transferred elsewhere quietly) on Friday March 19, 1982. The next day, state and county health authorities arrived to shut the hospital down, only to find that it had already been locked down and emptied. The hospital was served with a 61-page complaint for what was alleged "a threat to the public health" by health officials, amid specific cases of what was deemed unacceptable and improper patient care.

The neighboring communities are Central-Alameda, Florence, Green Meadows, Lynwood, South Gate, South Park, Vernon, Walnut Park and Watts.
