Burt is a hamlet in the town of Newfane in Niagara County, New York, United States.It is the hometown of former University of Michigan men's basketball and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach John Beilein.

The Van Horn Mansion was built by Judge James Van Horn in 1823. It is the site of the Town of Newfane's first town meeting, April 6, 1824. The name for the Town of Newfane is believed to be chosen by the town Postmaster. The Mansion includes 16 rooms and five bathrooms. It is located on Lockport-Olcott Road in Niagara County, New York on Route 78 and is also considered to be haunted. It is one many National Register of Historic Places in Niagara County.

First Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Newfane in Niagara County, New York. It is a Greek Revival style cobblestone church constructed in 1843. It is one of approximately 47 cobblestone buildings in Niagara County. First Baptist Church was formed in 1829, when Andrew Jackson took office as the seventh president of the United States, four years after the opening of the Erie Canal. In 1845 the church took a courageous moral position against slavery. At that time the Fugitive Slave Act prohibited speaking against slavery or helping slaves escape. The church did both. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.The church is part of the American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A.

Morse Cobblestone Farmhouse is a historic home and farm complex located at Wilson in Niagara County, New York. It was constructed between about 1840 and 1845. It is an L-shaped cobblestone building with a 2-story, three-bay-wide main block and 1+1⁄2-story, four-bay side block and rear kitchen block in the Greek Revival style. It has a porch along the side wing added about 1910. It features irregularly shaped, variously colored cobbles in its construction. It is one of approximately 47 cobblestone structures in Niagara County. Also on the property are two fieldstone barns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Wilson Harbor and its surrounding area boasts some of the best bass, trout, and salmon fishing in Western New York.
