Southern Integrated Gateway

Johor Bahru Sentral (also known as JB Sentral) is an integrated transport hub in Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Inaugurated on 21 October 2010, it replaced the closed Johor Bahru railway station located 200m south of it. As part of the Southern Integrated Gateway, it is connected to the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex. Johor Bahru Sentral also was the southern terminus of KTM Intercity train services to Gemas and Pulau Sebang/Tampin via Ekspres Selatan or Tumpat via Ekspres Rakyat Timuran. KTM Intercity via Shuttle Tebrau also served the Woodlands Train Checkpoint in Singapore across the Johor–Singapore Causeway. However, an electric train connection at Gemas is required for passenger to KL Sentral, Butterworth and Padang Besar. The station did not provide any train services from January to June 2022 due to the Gemas-Johor Bahru double-tracking project and services resumed in July 2022 after the new tracks between Johor Bahru and Kempas Baru were ready.Johor Bahru Sentral serves as the Malaysian immigration checkpoint for southbound rail passengers towards Woodlands. Northbound rail passengers from Woodlands are processed by Malaysian immigration and customs officers at Woodlands Train Checkpoint prior to boarding. Johor Bahru Sentral is planned to be the main hub for rail and bus transportation in Johor Bahru. It is proposed to be the main station of KTM ETS, KTM Komuter South, Transit Bus Terminal and will be connected to the future Bukit Chagar RTS and JB Sentral BRT stations.

The Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI; Malay: Bangunan Sultan Iskandar) is a customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complex in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Located at the northern end of the Johor–Singapore Causeway, it is one of two land ports of entry to Malaysia on the Malaysia–Singapore border. The building was named after the late Sultan Iskandar of Johor. Built as part of the Southern Integrated Gateway project on the former site of the Lumba Kuda flats, Kampung Bukit Chagar, the building occupies an area of 232,237 square metres (2,499,780 sq ft), making it the largest CIQ complex in Malaysia. The building started operations in 2008, replacing the former Johor Bahru Checkpoint. From Malaysia, the main expressway leading to the building is the Johor Bahru Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway. After border inspection, vehicles (and pedestrians) continue onto the Causeway, eventually reaching the Woodlands Checkpoint in Singapore. Pedestrian access to the building is provided via the Johor Bahru Sentral railway station, which is linked to the building by a footbridge.

The Persada Johor International Convention Centre (Malay: Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Persada Johor) is a convention center in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is a member of the Johor Corporation Group of Companies.

Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple (Chinese: 柔佛古廟; pinyin: Róufú Gǔmiào; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Jiû-hut Kó͘-biō) known as Old Temple (Chinese: 古廟; pinyin: Gǔmiào; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kó͘-biō) by the locals, is a Chinese temple located in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Located at Jalan Trus, the temple is flanked by modern skyscrapers. This temple is one of the oldest structures in the city and become the symbol of unity among five Chinese ethnic groups of Teochew, Hoklo (Hokkien), Cantonese, Hakka and Hainanese people. In 2007, a documentary series called My Roots featured the temple in the episode "Grand March with the Deities".

Bukit Chagar RTS station is an elevated terminal station currently being built in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. The station will be located north of Johor Bahru Sentral and forms the Malaysian terminus of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System. It is scheduled to open by end 2026. When opened, an estimate of 60,000 additional commuters will be able to cross the Causeway during peak hours.

The An-Nur Kota Raya Mosque (Malay: Masjid An-Nur Kota Raya) is a mosque in Plaza Kotaraya, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is owned by Johor Corporation (J-Corp), the Johor state government's investment arm.

Segget River (Malay: Sungai Segget, Chinese: 纱玉河) is a river in Johor, Malaysia. The length of the river is about 4,280 meters. It starts from the current Johor Bahru Chinese Cemetery, through the downtown of Johor Bahru city, and ends at Straits of Johor.The Segget River flows through the east bank and the west bank of the river. There is a small shaped triangle island called Segget Island. There is a wet market on the island. The West Bank of Segget River was mostly settled by Teochew. The road by the river is called Jalan Trus, most of the business around that area is owned by Teochew Chinese, and Johor Bahru Old Chinese temple is also located here. The roads adjoining with Jalan Trus are Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Jalan Ibrahim and Jalan Dhoby. The East bank of the Segget river was mostly settled by Cantonese immigrants. The Stulang Steam Sawmill owned by Lim Ah Siang located near to Jalan Meldrum, and Jalan Sawmill in the downtown of Johor Bahru is named after this sawmill. Wong Ah Fook owned big pieces of land on the east bank of the river, and Jalan Wong Ah Fook is named after him. Jalan Siu Chin, Jalan Siu Koon and Jalan Siu Nam are the roads named after Wong Ah Fook's son. Johor Bahru Sentral railway station is also located on the east bank of the river, the Jalan Stesen is named after the railway station.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic church in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is the oldest church in Johor Bahru, built in 1927, although the original church was built in 1883 by Casimir-Jean Saleilles and was dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes. The church is an active centre of Catholic life and prayer in the heart of Johor Bahru City. The Roman Catholic priests continue their tradition of preaching, personal instruction, sacramental life and pastoral care extending well beyond the geographical boundaries of Johor Bahru.

The Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is a Hindu temple in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is also one of the state's tourist attractions. The temple was listed in the Malaysian Book of Records as the first and only glass temple in the nation on 12 May 2010.

The Johor Bahru Prison (Malay: Penjara Johor Bahru), alternately Ayer Molek Prison, was a former jail in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Known to locals as Kota Jail, it was opened in 1883 to incarcerate criminals in the State, as well as those who revolted against the British colonial government. On August 30, 2005, the prison's operations were relocated to Simpang Renggam in Central Johore, due to the very acute space shortage. Parts of the prison saw continued usage as a police lockup until 2018. Currently the prison complex is abandoned.
