Fenner's

Hughes Hall is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in England. It is the oldest of the University of Cambridge's postgraduate colleges. The college also admits undergraduates, though undergraduates admitted by the college must be aged 21 or over. There is no age requirement for postgraduate students. The majority of Hughes Hall students are postgraduate, although nearly one-fifth of the student population comprises individuals aged 21 and above who are studying undergraduate degree courses at the university. Hughes Hall was founded in the 19th century as the Cambridge Training College for Women with the purpose of providing a college of the university dedicated to training women graduates for the teaching profession. Since then it has enlarged and expanded to support a community of students and researchers, both male and female, working in all the academic domains encompassed by the University of Cambridge. The college is housed in a number of 19th- and 20th-century buildings at a main site adjacent to Fenner's, the Cambridge University Cricket Club ground, and between the City Centre and the railway station.

Cambridge University Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1881, seven years before the Lawn Tennis Association of Great Britain was founded. Although it is called a 'club', it is actually the lawn tennis association of the whole of the University of Cambridge, representing the university as a whole, the thirty-one Colleges, and other institutions which are part of the university. CULTC is directly affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association of Great Britain and has a representative on the council and on the Board of the Association. The President and former Chairman of the club, Sir Geoffrey Cass, was president of the Lawn Tennis Association and Chairman of the L.T.A. Council 1997–1999. He is currently president of the British Tennis Foundation.The university and Colleges give considerable support to British tennis by making available their administrative and playing facilities. CULTC regularly arranges for County Week groups to be held on College grounds. The university's annual fixture list is one of the strongest in Britain. It usually includes matches against many different countries, as well as several of Britain's leading lawn tennis clubs; also half-a-dozen universities, and a dozen other clubs and teams. Most of the club's annual fixtures are home matches, which means that in a typical year nearly 30 tennis teams from all over Britain are entertained for a day in Cambridge at Fenner's.

Covent Garden is a street in Cambridge, England, off Mill Road and near The Kite district. The street takes its name from the London market of the same name as there used to be a market garden there.The street has one pub The Six Bells, where cricketer Israel Haggis was landlord from 1837 to 1844.

Sancton Wood School is a mixed private day school for children aged 1 to 16 located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. The school was founded as an independent primary school in 1976 and opened a senior school department in 1979.The school was owned by the Sturdy family who also own Cambridge International School and Holme Court School at Cherry Hinton Hall, a specialist school for children with dyslexia and related conditions. It was sold to Minerva Education in March 2014.

Gonville Place is a road (part of the A603) in southeast central Cambridge, England. It forms part of the city's inner ring road. At the southwest end is the junction of Regent Street and Hills Road, where the road continues as Lensfield Road. At the northeast end is the junction of Parkside and Mill Road, where the road continues as East Road, a dual carriageway. To the northwest is Parker's Piece, a large grassed area with footpaths. There are panoramic views of Parker's Piece from Gonville Place. The distinctive Parkside Pools indoor swimming pool building with a wavy roof was built 1998–99, with support from the United Kingdom National Lottery.There is a YMCA on the southeast side of the road opposite Parker's Piece. Behind the YMCA is Fenner's, the cricket ground of the University of Cambridge, which has hosted first-class cricket since 1848. The Best Western Gonville Hotel is also located on the southeast side of Gonville Place, near the south corner of Parker's Piece.There was little development around Gonville Place until the 19th century. The most important building along it in the early 19th century was the Cambridge Town Gaol. However, by the late 19th century, the construction of large houses with landscaped gardens meant that the street became a fashionable residential area. Some of these houses were replaced during the 1960s and 1970s. The street now forms part of the busy ring road, with the associated traffic problems that brings, especially for the many cyclists in the city.A stage of the 2014 Tour de France started from Gonville Place.

Cambridge Muslim College is an independent higher education institution in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It was founded in 2009 by its current dean, Timothy Winter (also known as Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad). Cambridge Muslim College was founded to support British Muslim scholarship and training from secular and Islamic perspectives. It does not hold a political or denominational affiliation.Accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education, Cambridge Muslim College offers trained Muslim scholars a one year diploma in Islamic studies and leadership, designed to help them better implement their knowledge and training in 21st-century Britain. It also hosts academics, including early-career scholars engaged in post-doctoral research, as full-time and associate research fellows. In 2017, Cambridge Muslim College launched a three-year BA (Hons) in Islamic Studies validated by The Open University.

Cambridge is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Daniel Zeichner of the Labour Party.Centred on the university city of Cambridge, it is one of the country's oldest continuously constituted constituencies. It was created in 1295 and returned two Members of Parliament (MPs) and was represented in the House of Commons of England until 1707, then in the House of Commons of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800, and then in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. From 1885 onwards, the seat has elected one MP. It was held by the Conservatives from 1967 to 1992, since when it has been represented alternately by both Labour and the Liberal Democrats. In the 2016 referendum to leave the European Union, the constituency voted 73.8% to remain.

St Paul's, Cambridge is a Church of England parish church situated 0.8 miles (1.3 km) to the south east of the city centre of Cambridge, on the corner of St Paul's Road with Hills Road. St Paul's is part of the Cambridge South Deanery in the Anglican Diocese of Ely. The church is a Grade II Listed Building and has a place in the history of the Gothic Revival due to criticism from the Cambridge Camden Society in the first issue of The Ecclesiologist.Since 2022, the vicar of St Paul's is Imogen Nay.

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is a public university in East Anglia, United Kingdom. Its origins are in the Cambridge School of Art, founded by William John Beamont, a Fellow of Trinity College at University of Cambridge, in 1858. It became a university in 1992, and was renamed after John Ruskin, the Oxford University professor and author, in 2005. Ruskin gave the inauguration speech of the Cambridge School of Art in 1858. It is one of the "post-1992 universities". The motto of the university is in Latin Excellentia per societatem, in English Excellence through partnership.In 2022, Anglia Ruskin had 35,195 students. ARU has five campuses across the south-eastern portion of the United Kingdom.There are four faculties of study at the university, namely: Faculty of Business and Law Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care Faculty of Science & Engineering.

East Road is a dual-carriageway road in the east of Cambridge, England. It is designated the A603 and forms part of Cambridge's inner ring road. The southwest end of East Road is next to Parker's Piece, at the junction with Parkside, Mill Road, and Gonville Place. At the northeast end there is a roundabout that links with Elizabeth Way (part of the A1134, continuing the inner ring road north) and Newmarket Road (also part of the A1134, leading east out of the city). The Cambridge campus of Anglia Ruskin University is on East Road, north of Mill Road. The Ruskin Gallery, open to the public, is part of the Cambridge School of Art on the Anglia Ruskin University East Road campus.The Cambridge County Court is on East Road. The distinctively round Cambridge Crown Court is also on East Road, at No 83, since 2004.
