Lokman Hekim University (LHU) is a private university located in Ankara, Turkey. It was established in 2017 by the Sevgi Foundation. The university is affiliated with Lokman Hekim Health Group and specializes in medical, health, dentistry, and pharmacy education. As of the 2023–2024 academic year, the university enrolls over 4,700 students, including 3,729 undergraduates, 195 master's, and 68 doctoral students. The university employs more than 270 academic staff.

TOBB Sport Hall (Turkish: TOBB Spor Salonu) is an indoor multi-purpose sport venue that is located in the TOBB University of Economics and Technology Söğütözü Campus, Ankara, Turkey. The hall, with a capacity for 2,000 spectators, was built in 2007. It is home to TED Ankara Kolejliler, which plays currently in the Turkish Basketball League.

Beştepe is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Yenimahalle, Ankara Province, Turkey. Its population is 12,066 (2022). It is home to the Presidential Complex of Turkey. Its muhtar is Hatice İzmirli.

The ATO Congresium is an international convention and exhibition center in Ankara, Turkey. It is a property of the Ankara Trade Chamber (ATO) (Turkish: Ankara Ticaret Odası). It is at 39°54′41″N 32°48′11″E on Söğütözü Boulevard at Çankaya district. It opened on 14 September 2012.Total area of the congresium is 80,000 square metres (860,000 sq ft), with 10,000 square metres (110,000 sq ft) of the ground floor reserved for various trade exhibitions. On the other floors, are two dividable halls of 5,770 square metres (62,100 sq ft) area; two lounges of 400 square metres (4,300 sq ft) area; 10 meeting rooms; an auditorium seating 3,107 people; and a 1,500 square metres (16,000 sq ft) ballroom. It also features dining facilities and two terraces with a view of Ankara.

The Tree of Science (Turkish: Bilim Ağacı) is a Turkish sculpture at the Middle East Technical University Ankara Campus at the door of the monument Eskişehir Yolu. The sculpture was constructed through the second drop-Atatürk Monument Competition in 1966 and was made by Tamer Başoğlu.At the time this sculpture was erected, much of the surrounding area was barren, but an intense forestation campaign was in progress, led by then university president Kemal Kurdas. Over the years around 12 million trees were planted on the 11,100 acre METU land. Thanks to this effort, the white Tree of Science is surrounded by the deep green of the forest that replaced arid brown hills. METU is now the largest green area around Ankara. The forest helps mitigate the city's pollution, according to the Aga Khan Award for Architecture shared in 1995 by Kurdas, Behruz Cinici (the campus' planner and first architect) and Alattin Egemen (director of forestation).

Ankaray, designated as the A1, is a 8.5 km (5.3 mi) long rapid transit line of the Ankara Metro system in Ankara, Turkey. Opened in 1996, it is the oldest rapid transit line in Ankara and the second oldest in Turkey after the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. Ankaray begins at the Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal in southeastern Yenimahalle and runs east to Dikimevi in northeastern Çankaya and consists of 11 stations. In 2017, the line saw over 33.5 million boardings, making it the second busiest line of Ankara Metro, after the M1. Despite being a rapid transit line, the city of Ankara classifies Ankaray as a light-rail line. The name Ankaray is a portmanteau of the words Ankara and ray (rail).

The Presidential Complex (Turkish: Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi) is the presidential residence of the Republic of Turkey. The complex is located in the Beştepe neighborhood of Ankara, inside the Atatürk Forest Farm.In accordance with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's "New Turkey" concept, it was envisaged that the Çankaya Presidential Mansion would become the prime ministerial complex and the president would move to the newly built palace. This occurred soon after the June 2015 general election, when the palace was officially made the residence of the President of Turkey. It was formally inaugurated as the official residence of the president by Erdoğan on the country's Republic Day, 29 October 2014.President Erdoğan proposed to call the new presidential residence Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi, referring to a traditional complex centered on a mosque. This was formally adopted as the residence's official name on 3 July 2015. The building cost was double the initial estimate of more than US$600 million. The Presidential Complex is home to the country's largest library with five million books.

AŞTİ (Ankara Intercity Coach Terminal, Turkish: Ankara Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali) is the intercity bus terminal of Ankara, Turkey.

AŞTİ is an underground station and the western terminus of the Ankaray line of the Ankara Metro in Çankaya. It is located on the east side of Mevlana Boulevard, across from the Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal (AŞTİ). AŞTİ station consists of two side platforms and opened on 30 August 1996, together with the Ankaray line. Connection to the bus terminal is available via a passageway underneath Mevlana Boulevard. Tracks continue south of the station to the Söğütözü Maintenance Facility and further to Söğütözü station, which was completed in 2014 but without Ankaray service.

The Atatürk Monument (Turkish: ODTÜ Atatürk Anıtı) is a Turkish monument dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, located at the Ankara Campus of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Middle East Technical University (METU). The competition for the monument started in 1965, in which Şadi Çalık came in first place. Çalık completed the monument in 1966. The bronze monument is Turkey's first abstract monument dedicated to Atatürk.On November 10, 2016, the death day of Atatürk, a commemoration was held by METU staff and students in front of the monument

On 13 December 2018, a high-speed passenger train and a locomotive collided near Yenimahalle in Ankara Province, Turkey. Three cars (carriages/coaches) of the passenger train derailed in the collision. Three railroad engineers and five passengers were killed at the scene, and 84 people were injured. Another injured passenger later succumbed to injuries, and 34 passengers, including two in critical condition, were treated in several hospitals.
