Flemings Landing is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Flemings Landing is located along Delaware Route 9 just north of the Smyrna River and the Kent County line, to the northeast of Smyrna.

Short's Landing Hotel Complex is a historic hotel and farm complex located near Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. The complex consists of five contributing buildings and one contributing structure. They are the brick hotel (c. 1780), a frame Federal-style mansion house (c. 1800), a small abandoned factory, and an extensive collection of outbuildings including a stable, granaries and storage sheds. The hotel is a two-story, five bay brick vernacular structure. The frame mansion house has a traditional center-hall, single-pile floor plan. The frame leadite factory was in operation mainly from the 1920s to the late 1940s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Old Brick Store, also known as the Old Brick Hotel and The Granary, is a historic commercial building located near Smyrna, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1764, and is a two- to three-story, three bay brick building. The building marks the location of what may have been a grain shipping center for southern New Castle County.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

George Farmhouse is a historic home located near Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. It built between about 1915 and 1920, and is a two-story, frame dwelling in the Queen Anne style. Parts of the house date to the 19th century, and the one-story and attic kitchen wing may be the oldest section of the house. It features a three-story, offset hexagonal shaped tower with a tent roof and a wraparound porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Liston House was a historic home located at Taylors Bridge, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1739, and was a two-story, three bay brick dwelling with a gambrel roof. It had a 1+1⁄2-story, frame addition. The house had two end wall chimneys and shed roofed dormers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and demolished before 1991.

The James T. Vaughn Correctional Center (JTVCC), formerly the Delaware Correctional Center (DCC), is a state prison for men in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, USA, near Smyrna. It is the Delaware Department of Correction's largest correctional facility.JTVCC houses some 2,500 minimum, medium, and maximum security inmates. It is also the primary facility for housing the Kent County pre-trial (detainee) population. Before the abolition of capital punishment in Delaware, the state's death row for men was located here. The death row for women was located in the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution. Executions occurred at JTVCC.The facility is named for former Delaware State Senator James T. Vaughn, who died in 2007.

It was built about 1733, and is a two-story stuccoed brick house, constructed on a single pile, hall and parlor plan. It has a lower two-story wing that extends the axis of the main house. It serves as a residence and office for the personnel of the Woodland Beach Wildlife Area.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Woodland Beach Wildlife Area is a state wildlife area located in Kent County, Delaware, along shore of the Delaware Bay. It is 6,320 acres (2,558 ha) in size and is managed by Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Fish & Wildlife.Much of the area is a transgressive brackish marsh. The Thomas Sutton House serves as a residence and office for the personnel of the Woodland Beach Wildlife Area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

It is one room deep and has gable end chimneys and dormers. It was the home of John Clark (1761–1821), 20th Governor of Delaware. At one time it housed administrative offices for the Department of Corrections.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Hart House is a historic home located at Taylors Bridge, New Castle County, in the U.S. state of Delaware. It was built in about 1747, and is a 2½-story, three-bay brick dwelling with a low-pitched gable roof. It is one room deep. The house was the scene of a gun battle on July 12, 1747 (Old Style) with Spanish marauders led by Viceroy Ricardo Alvarado during the War of Jenkins' Ear.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It is now owned by Delaware Wild Lands.

John M. Voshell House is a historic home located near Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. It was built in about 1850, and is a two-story, five-bay L-shaped brick dwelling with a gable roof. The roof has a heavy cornice and wide overhang in the Italianate style. It has a Federal style entrance and Greek Revival-style porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
