The Canton of Vesoul-1 (before March 2015: Vesoul-Ouest) is a French administrative division, in the arrondissement of Vesoul, in Haute-Saône département (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté région). It consists of the western part of the commune of Vesoul and its western suburbs. It has 16,618 inhabitants as of 2017.

The Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema (French: Festival international des cinémas d'Asie) is an annual special-interest film festival focusing on the cinemas of Asia. The festival is held annually in Vesoul, France. It was created in 1995 by Martine and Jean-Marc Thérouanne who have been codirecting the festival since then. The highest award of the festival is the Golden Cyclo Award. Other awards include the Special Langues "O" Award, given by the French National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations and the Emile Guimet Award by the Friends Association of National Museum of Asian Arts-Guimet at the festival. In the 17th edition of the festival, which attracted an audience of 28,700, three awards were given to the Chinese film "Addicted to Love" by director Liu Hao. The film took out the top award as well as the "O" and Guimet awards. The Golden Cyclo was shared with "P.S.", by Uzbekistan director Elkin Tuychiev.

Vesoul (French pronunciation: [vəzul] və-ZOOL) is a commune in the Haute-Saône department, of which it is the prefecture, or capital, in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté located in eastern France. It is the most populated municipality of the department, with 15,212 inhabitants in 2014. The same year, the Communauté d'agglomération de Vesoul, which covers 20 municipalities, together had 34,310 inhabitants, while its urban area, comprising 78 municipalities, had 59,244 inhabitants. Its inhabitants are known in French as Vésuliens. Built on top of the hill of La Motte in the first millennium under the name of Castrum Vesulium, the city gradually evolved into a European commercial and economic center. At the end of the Middle Ages, the city experienced a challenging period beset with plagues, epidemics, and localized conflict. The main urban center of the department, Vesoul is also home to a major PSA parts manufacturing plant and to the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema. It was immortalized by Jacques Brel in his 1968 song "Vesoul".

The Synagogue of Vesoul (French: Synagogue de Vesoul) is a former Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 11 rue du Moulin-des-Prés, in the city of Vesoul, in Haute-Saône department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. Whilst active, the congregation worshipped in the Ashkenazi rite. The synagogue was listed as a monument historique on December 5, 1984. The building was erected in 1875 and classified as a monument historique in 1984. In 2011 the organization that owned the building, Les Restos du Coeur, decided to sell it.

The Communauté d'agglomération de Vesoul is a communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, in the Haute-Saône department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, eastern France. It was created in January 2012 from the former communautés de communes de l'agglomération de Vesoul. Its seat is Vesoul. Its area is 145.5 km2. Its population was 32,203 in 2018, of which 14,973 in Vesoul proper.

Paul Morel Hospital is an ancient hospital located in Vesoul, France. It is located at 41 Avebye Arustude Briand, 70000 Vesoul, France. It was in operation from 1938 to 2009. Paul Morel was the mayor of Vesoul from 1908 to 1933.

It consists of the eastern part of the commune of Vesoul and its eastern suburbs. It has 16,072 inhabitants as of 2017.

Navenne (French pronunciation: [navɛn]) is a commune in the Haute-Saône department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. The town is located near Vesoul.

The Musée Georges-Garret or Georges-Garret Museum is located in the city of Vesoul, in the Haute-Saône departement of eastern France. The museum was created in 1882, and since 1981 has been installed in a former 17th-century Ursuline convent, comprising 14 rooms (9 fine art rooms and 5 archeology rooms) spread over two levels. The first level of the museum presents a collection of Gallo-Roman funerary steles as well as objects taken from various excavations in Haute-Saône (including those of an important villa from the 2nd century AD). The second level exhibits paintings and sculptures of the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and especially the 18th and 19th centuries. The most significant holdings of the museum are paintings and sculptures by Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824–1904), who was born in Vesoul. Gérôme donated a number of his works to the museum during his lifetime, and his heirs donated more works after his death. These range from the very early Saint Vincent de Paul of 1847 to the very late self-portrait of the artist painting his statue The Ball Player of 1902. As result, the museum's Gérôme collection, displayed in several rooms, is without equal. Displayed along with Gérôme are by works of artists of Haute-Saône whom he trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, beginning in 1864. These artists collectively became known as the École Haut-Saônoise, or School of Haute-Saône. They painted landscapes, scenes of country life, and portraits. Among the better known are Gustave Courtois, Jules-Alexis Muenier and Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret.
