Tai Po New Town

Tai Po Market (Chinese: 大埔墟; Cantonese Yale: Daaih bou hēui; pronounced: [taːi˨pou˧.hɵy˥]) is an MTR station on the East Rail line in the New Territories, Hong Kong. Located between Flagstaff Hill and Wan Tau Tong Estate in Tai Po, and adjacent to the eponymous market town, the station has three tracks and four platforms. Platform 1 is for northbound trains to border crossing stations at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau and platform 4 is for southbound trains to Admiralty, Kowloon while platforms 2 and 3 use the same track and is reserved for peak hour traffic.

Tai Po is an area in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It refers to the vicinity of the traditional market towns in the area presently known as Tai Po Old Market or Tai Po Kau Hui (大埔舊墟) (the original "Tai Po Market") on the north of Lam Tsuen River and the Tai Po Hui (the current Tai Po Market; historically Tai Wo Shi, literally Tai Wo market) on Fu Shin Street on the south of the Lam Tsuen River, near the old Tai Po Market railway station of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (British Section). Both market towns became part of the Tai Po New Town in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In present-day usage, "Tai Po" may refer to the area around the original market towns, the Tai Po New Town (Chinese: 大埔市), or the entire Tai Po District.

SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School (Traditional Chinese: 聖公會莫壽增會督中學) is a co-educational secondary school in Hong Kong, founded by a group of Christians in 1975, named after the Bishop Mok Sau Tseng of Anglican Church in China (Chung Hua Sheng Kung Hui). The school campus is located on Wan Tau Kok Hill in Tai Po, near Tai Po Market station.

The Old District Office North, or the Law Ting Pong Scout Centre, is a building located at 20 Wan Tau Kok Lane, Tai Po in the New Territories of Hong Kong, near the Old Tai Po Police Station.The building was the headquarter of the colonial District Office of the whole New Territories. Since the 1920s, it only administrative the northern part of the New Territories, as the District Office South was established.

The Tai Po River (Chinese: 大埔河; pinyin: Dapu He) is a river in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. It has many tributaries, with most coming from the Ta Tit Yan, Grassy Hill, Lead Mine Pass and Yuen Tun Ha area. The tributaries gradually merge as the Tai Po River, which parallels Tolo Highway until Tai Po Market station, where it turns north to meet the Lam Tsuen River.

The Old Tai Po Police Station is a former Hong Kong police station at the top of Tai Po Wan Tau Tong Hill. It is located at No. 11 Wan Tau Kok Lane, Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong, near the Old District Office North.

Elegance Garden (Chinese: 富雅花園) is a Home Ownership Scheme and Private Sector Participation Scheme court in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong near Uptown Plaza, Wan Tau Tong Estate and MTR Tai Po Market station. It was jointly developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Chevalier Group and has a total of four residential blocks built in 1990.

Norwegian International School (Chinese: 挪威國際學校) located in Hong Kong was established in 1984. Originally named The Norwegian School, its purpose was primarily to provide an education for the children of Norwegian missionaries. During this period of the school's history, Norwegian was the medium of instruction, with English lessons conducted by teachers of English.

The Tai Po District Council (Chinese: 大埔區議會) is the district council for the Tai Po District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Tai Po District Council currently consists of 22 members, of which the district is divided into two constituencies, electing a total of 4 members, 8 district committee members, 8 appointed members, and 2 ex officio members who are the Tai Po and Sai Kung North rural committee chairmen. The latest election was held on 10 December 2023.

Wan Tau Tong Estate (Chinese: 運頭塘邨) is a public housing estate in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the second last public housing estate in Tai Po, but it is not built on the reclaimed land. The estate consists of 3 residential buildings completed in 1991. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Phase 1 of the Tenants Purchase Scheme in 1998.Yat Nga Court (逸雅苑), Tak Nga Court (德雅苑) and King Nga Court (景雅苑) are Home Ownership Scheme housing courts in Tai Po near Wan Tau Tong Estate, built between 1991 and 1992.
