The Pingry School is a coeducational, independent, college preparatory country day school in New Jersey, with a Lower School (K–5) campus in the Short Hills neighborhood of Millburn, a Middle (6–8) and Upper School (9–12) campus in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, and a campus for experiential learning in Pottersville. The school was founded in 1861 by John F. Pingry. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Niche ranks Pingry 1st on its list of 2023 Best Private K-12 Schools in New Jersey and 2nd on its list of Best College Prep Private High Schools in New Jersey. Over the years, Pingry has consistently been ranked by Niche in the top 3 in New Jersey and in the top 1% nationally.

Sky Farm is America's first permanent naturist community opened on 15 May 1932, in Somerset County, New Jersey by Kurt Barthel. It operates as a private cooperative and is only open to its members.

WAWZ (99.1 FM) is a Christian radio station licensed to Zarephath, New Jersey. The station is owned by non-profit Pillar Media, a division of the Pillar of Fire International. The station maintains a studio in Warren, while its transmitter is located in Bridgewater.WAWZ's signal can be heard through portions of Central and Northern New Jersey and New York City and as far south as Ocean and Burlington counties, as well as Eastern Pennsylvania.

Martinsville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Bridgewater Township, in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 11,980.Martinsville is located in northeastern Bridgewater near Warren Township; the 08836 ZIP Code also takes in the southern extension of Bernards Township. It is an affluent, predominantly residential area, though it does have its own commercial center along Washington Valley Road, and its own post office.

The Bridgewater–Raritan Regional School District is a regional public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from the municipalities of Bridgewater Township and Raritan Borough in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. All of the school facilities are in Bridgewater, except for John F. Kennedy School, which is located in Raritan.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of 11 schools, had an enrollment of 8,254 students and 754.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.9:1. One of the largest suburban districts statewide, the district is the largest in Somerset County.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. Liberty Corner is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Bernards Township, in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Liberty Corner is about 3+3⁄4 miles (6.0 km) south of Bernardsville. Liberty Corner has a post office with ZIP code 07938. The Liberty Corner Historic District was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1991.

Green Knoll is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Bridgewater Township, in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 6,200.

Washington Valley Park is a 715-acre (2.89 km2) public park between the first and second Watchung mountain ridge in the Martinsville section of Bridgewater Township, New Jersey that is administered by the Somerset County Park Commission. It contains the Washington Valley Reservoir and the Chimney Rock Hawk Watch.

The Jacob Vosseller House is a historic building located at 664 Foothill Road in Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, New Jersey. The house was built c. 1753. It was known as Castner's Tavern, and later Allen's Tavern, during the 19th century. Listed as Vosseller's–Castner's–Allen's Tavern, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 23, 1986, for its significance in architecture, commerce, settlement, and transportation.

Bridgewater Township is a township in Somerset County in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located within the heart of the Raritan Valley region. Situated within Central New Jersey and crisscrossed by several major highways, the township is known for being both the regional commercial hub for Somerset County (home to Bridgewater Commons and different corporate headquarters) and as a suburban bedroom community of New York City within the New York Metropolitan Area. The township is located roughly 32 miles (51 km) away from Manhattan and about 20 miles (32 km) away from Staten Island.Bridgewater Township was created by Royal charter on April 4, 1749, from portions of the Northern precinct. It was incorporated as one of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships by the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, under the Township Act of 1798. During the nineteenth century, portions of the township were taken to form Warren Township (March 5, 1806), Branchburg Township (April 5, 1845), Somerville (March 25, 1863), Raritan (April 3, 1868) and Bound Brook (March 24, 1869).As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 45,977, an increase of 1,513 (+3.4%) from the 2010 census count of 44,464, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,524 (+3.5%) from the 42,940 counted in the 2000 census.

The Hills is a planned community and census-designated place (CDP) in Bedminster and Bernards townships, Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census.The community is in northern Somerset County, in the southeast corner of Bedminster Township and the western corner of Bernards Township. It is bordered to the north by the borough of Far Hills, to the east by Liberty Corner, and to the south by Pluckemin. The Hills CDP has two sections of development: one, primarily in Bernards Township, that is atop the western end of Second Watchung Mountain, and the other, entirely in Bedminster Township, at the western base of the mountain. Interstate 287 forms the northern and western limit of the CDP, with access from Exit 22 (U.S. Routes 202 and 206). Routes 202/206 lead north into the center of Bedminster and south through Pluckemin to Somerville.

The Lyons VA Medical Center is a United States Department of Veterans Affairs hospital complex located at 151 Knollcroft Road in the Lyons section of Bernards Township in Somerset County, New Jersey. Established in 1930, it is part of the VA New Jersey Health Care System. Listed as the Lyons Veterans Administration Hospital Historic District, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 3, 2013, for its significance in architecture, health/medicine, and politics/government.
