Green Knoll is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Bridgewater Township, in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 6,200.

Peters Brook is a tributary of the Raritan River that flows south through Bridgewater Township and Somerville, New Jersey, in the United States. Some of its tributaries include Ross Brook and Mac's Brook. Peters Brook is approximately six miles long, beginning near the west side of I-287 and emptying into the Raritan River south of Somerville. The Brook is named for Peter Van Nest, son of Dutch immigrant Pieter Van Nest. The homestead of the Van Nest family was in nearby Raritan near Glaser Avenue.Peters Brook is notable for having high phosphate levels and flooding, receiving large amounts of stormwater.

Bridgewater Township is a township in Somerset County in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located within the heart of the Raritan Valley region. Situated within Central New Jersey and crisscrossed by several major highways, the township is known for being both the regional commercial hub for Somerset County (home to Bridgewater Commons and different corporate headquarters) and as a suburban bedroom community of New York City within the New York Metropolitan Area. The township is located roughly 32 miles (51 km) away from Manhattan and about 20 miles (32 km) away from Staten Island.Bridgewater Township was created by Royal charter on April 4, 1749, from portions of the Northern precinct. It was incorporated as one of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships by the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, under the Township Act of 1798. During the nineteenth century, portions of the township were taken to form Warren Township (March 5, 1806), Branchburg Township (April 5, 1845), Somerville (March 25, 1863), Raritan (April 3, 1868) and Bound Brook (March 24, 1869).As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 45,977, an increase of 1,513 (+3.4%) from the 2010 census count of 44,464, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,524 (+3.5%) from the 42,940 counted in the 2000 census.

The Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School (SCVTHS) is a fully accredited, four-year vocational public high school located on an 80-acre (320,000 m2) campus in Bridgewater Township, in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. The school is part of the Somerset County Vocational and Technical School District, which serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from all of Somerset County. The school offers over 20 different programs, on both a full-time and part-time basis, that combine training in occupational and academic skills. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 347 students and 58.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 5.9:1. There were 33 students (9.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 4 (1.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Full-time students earn both a high school diploma and a vocational certificate in their specific specialty area. The school has been recognized by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest award an American school can receive.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,749 students and 222.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 212 students (7.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 50 (1.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch. Based on 2021-22 data from the New Jersey Department of Education, it was the sixth-largest high school in the state and one of 29 schools with more than 2,000 students.

Bridgewater Commons is a fully enclosed shopping mall located in Bridgewater Township, New Jersey. The mall is located at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 202/206 and borders I-287. The mall opened on February 26, 1988 as Somerset County's first and has a gross leasable area of 900,000 sq ft (84,000 m2).

Bridgewater Center is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the west-central part of Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census with a population of 4,616.Within Bridgewater Township, the community is bordered to the northeast by Green Knoll and to the southwest by Bradley Gardens. To the south it is bordered by the boroughs of Raritan and Somerville. It is bordered to the northwest by Bedminster Township and to the west by Branchburg Township. Interstate 287 forms the northeast border of the CDP, separating it from Green Knoll, while U.S. Route 22 forms the southern border with Somerville. Farther to the west, Route 28 (Easton Turnpike) forms the CDP's border with Raritan and Bradley Gardens.

The Sri Venkateswara Temple is a Hindu temple located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, U.S. In 1998, the traditional stone temple was inaugurated. The temple is 11,000 square feet.

Immaculata High School (also known as Immaculata, Lata, or IHS) is a private, coeducational, Roman Catholic high school in Somerville, in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Founded in 1962, Immaculata High School operates within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. The school was also served by a group of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (from opening through the end of the 2018–19 school year), who lived in a convent attached to the main building of the school. Many of the Sisters taught different subjects in the school's curriculum. Immaculata High School has been accredited by Cognia since 2012.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 487 students and 76.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.3:1. Students from Branchburg Township attend Somerville High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Branchburg Township School District.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,142 students and 92.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.4:1.
