Lake Winola, Pennsylvania

Lake Winola is a public 185-acre (0.75 km2) glacial lake in Overfield Township, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The lake is composed of an eastern and western basin, separated by a peninsula entering the lake from north to south. The lake is managed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and operates a public boat launch located along the southeast corner of the lake. Motorized boats are permitted on the Lake, but are required to navigate counter-clockwise. The Scranton Canoe Club is located on Point Road (peninsula) offering club members a nine-hole golf course and lakeside dining.

It is approximately 5.5 miles (8.9 km) long and flows through West Abington Township in Lackawanna County and Overfield Township and Falls Township in Wyoming County. The watershed of the creek has an area of 9.81 square miles (25.4 km2) and contains Lake Winola. The creek is not designated as an impaired waterbody. The surficial geology in its vicinity consists of alluvium, Wisconsinan Till, Wisconsinan Outwash, alluvial fan, Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, Wisconsinan Bouldery Till, wetlands, and peat bogs.

Falls Creek (also known as Falls Creek No. 2) is a tributary of Buttermilk Creek in Lackawanna County and Wyoming County, in Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 6.0 miles (9.7 km) long and flows through Newton Township in Lackawanna County and Falls Township. The watershed of the creek has an area of 7.27 square miles (18.8 km2). The creek is not designated as an impaired waterbody. The surficial geology in its vicinity consists mainly of alluvium, Wisconsinan Till, bedrock, Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, Wisconsinan Outwash, and peat bogs. Several bridges have been constructed over the creek.

WARM (590 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Scranton, Pennsylvania, and serving the Scranton–Wilkes-Barre–Hazleton radio market. The station is owned by Seven Mountains Media, through licensee Southern Belle, LLC. The station, which has gone silent for extended periods, most recently resumed broadcasting on May 23, 2025. It simulcasts Gem 99 and 100 classic hits programming that is also on WGMF 750 AM. WARM is a Class B station. It is powered at 1,800 watts during the daytime and 430 watts at night. It has two different directional antenna signal patterns, primarily aimed towards the southeast with some signal aimed towards the northwest. Its transmitter is on Hugo Lane, 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Scranton in West Falls, Pennsylvania. WARM uses a three-tower array. Each tower is 495 feet (151 meters) high. Programming is also heard on FM translator 101.7 W269CF in Scranton.

The stream has no named tributaries, but it does have ten unnamed tributaries. There are also a number of wetlands in the watershed of the stream. The stream is classified as a Coldwater Fishery. Its watershed occupies portions of three municipalities in Wyoming County and five in Lackawanna County.

Mill Run (also known as Osterhout Creek or Osterhouts Creek) is a tributary of the Susquehanna River in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) long and flows through Tunkhannock Township and Overfield Township. The stream is not designated as an impaired waterbody. In its upper reaches, it flows through glacial drift, while in its lower reaches, it passes over a waterfall. Lakes in the stream's watershed include Flow Pond. A number of bridges have been constructed over Mill Run. A sawmill also used to be located on the stream. The stream's drainage basin is designated as a Coldwater Fishery and a Migratory Fishery.

Osterhout Mountain is a summit located in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania. Osterhout is located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River opposite its sister peak Miller Mountain. The mountain has communication towers on its summit and rises over the town of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania.

South Branch Tunkhannock Creek is a tributary of Tunkhannock Creek in Lackawanna County and Wyoming County, in Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 22.5 miles (36.2 km) long and flows through Scott Township, Benton Township, North Abington Township, and La Plume Township in Lackawanna County and Clinton Township, Factoryville, and Tunkhannock Township in Wyoming County. The watershed of the creek has an area of 98.3 square miles (255 km2). The creek's named tributaries include Trout Brook, Ackerly Creek, and Kennedy Creek. South Branch Tunkhannock Creek is not designated as an impaired waterbody and has relatively good water quality. The topography of the watershed of South Branch Tunkhannock Creek has been described as "rough and hilly" and the underlying geology consists of interbedded sedimentary rock. There is a gorge with a depth of 100 feet (30 m) on the creek at one point. Major land uses in the watershed of South Branch Tunkhannock Creek include forested land and agricultural land. Some natural gas drilling is also done in the watershed. Historical industries in the area included agriculture and summer resorts. The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad also passed through the creek's watershed. The main stem of South Branch Tunkhannock Creek is designated as a Trout Stocked Fishery and a Migratory Fishery. The creek has a diverse array of aquatic life and has been stocked with trout. A reach of the creek navigable by canoe and the creek is also a highly popular stream for angling. It passes through Lackawanna State Park.
