Salt Lake City International Airport (IATA: SLC, ICAO: KSLC, FAA LID: SLC) is a joint military/public airport located about 4 miles (6.4 km; 3.5 nmi) west of Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. The airport is the closest commercial airport for more than 2.5 million people and is within a 30-minute drive of nearly 1.3 million jobs. The airport serves as a hub for Delta Air Lines and is a major gateway to the Intermountain West and West Coast. The airport sees 343 scheduled nonstop airline departures per day to 93 cities in North America and Europe. It is by far the busiest airport in Utah. Salt Lake City International Airport continues to rank high for on-time departures/arrivals and the fewest flight cancellations among major US airports. The airport ranked first for on-time departures and arrivals and first for the percentage of cancellations as of April 2017. The airport is owned by the City of Salt Lake City and is administered by the municipal Department of Airports.

United Airlines Flight 227 (N7030U), a scheduled passenger flight from LaGuardia Airport New York City to San Francisco International Airport, California, crashed short of the runway while attempting a scheduled landing at Salt Lake City International Airport, Utah, on Thursday, November 11, 1965.

Salt Lake City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZLC) (radio communications "Salt Lake Center") is one of 22 FAA Area Control Centers in the United States. It is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, adjacent to Salt Lake City International Airport. It was opened in 1939 and was originally located on the third floor of the old Salt Lake City International Airport terminal. The Salt Lake Center (ZLC) covers one of the largest geographical areas of any other control center, totaling approximately 350,000 squares miles. The primary responsibility of Salt Lake City Center is sequencing and separation of over-flights, arrivals, and departures in order to provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft flying under instrument flight rules (IFR).

The Hoberman Arch was the centerpiece of the Olympic Medals Plaza in downtown Salt Lake City during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Following the Olympics the arch was moved to the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Cauldron Park where, along with the Olympic cauldron, it was one of the main highlights and an important part of Salt Lake's Olympic legacy. In August 2014, the arch was removed from the park and a new public display location has not yet been found.

1940 West North Temple station is a light rail station in Salt Lake City, Utah serviced by the Green Line of the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) TRAX system. The Green Line provides service from the Salt Lake City International Airport to West Valley City (via Downtown Salt Lake City), and connects with the rest of the TRAX system, as well as UTA's FrontRunner commuter rail and S Line streetcar.

KIHU (1010 AM) is a Catholic radio formatted radio station licensed to Tooele, Utah, United States. The station is owned by Relevant Radio, Inc. The station has a construction permit from the FCC for a power increase to 50,000 watts Daytime, 42,000 watts Critical Hours (within two hours after sunrise or before sunset) and 194 watts night. The facilities authorized by the Construction Permit were built in 2004 and the station was operating under "Program Test Authority" with those facilities. 1010 AM is a Canadian clear-channel frequency.

The Utah Inland Port is a proposed dry port in the northwest quadrant of Salt Lake City, Utah and other undeveloped land in Salt Lake County. It is currently in the planning and pre-construction stages. It would cover over 16,000 acres.The Utah Inland Port Authority is a government-run corporation with the responsibility and legal powers to develop and run the Utah Inland Port. As of August 2022, its current executive director is Ben Hart. The Port Authority is governed by a Port Authority Board. Per Utah Code, seven board members are appointed, and four hold their post ex officio The current board chair is Salt Lake City Councilman James Rogers; its previous chair was Derek Miller, chair of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Jordan River Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area is a Utah State Park located in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The park is dedicated to recreation with off highway vehicles. It consists of four separate tracks, with tabletops and banked turns, and is open from approximately early April to approximately mid-October. Off-highway motorcycle (OHM) riders have access to two motocross tracks. The novice and grand-prix tracks are open to both OHMs and all-terrain vehicles. All riders must wear a helmet and all machines must be currently registered. Before riding here, or on any public land, youth from 8–16 years old (and until they get a driver license) must take and pass the state-required youth off-highway vehicle (OHV) education program; children under the age of eight may not operate an OHV on public land in Utah. Youth must carry their safety certificate while riding.

KNRS (570 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Salt Lake City, Utah. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. KNRS and sister station 105.9 KNRS-FM simulcast a talk radio format. The studios are located in West Valley City and the transmitter site is located off West 2300 North Street in Salt Lake City. KNRS operates with 5,000 watts around the clock, covering most of Northern Utah. Other iHeart stations in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area include KAAZ-FM, KZHT, KJMY, and KODJ.
