The Philadelphia Society is a membership organization the purpose of which is "to sponsor the interchange of ideas through discussion and writing, in the interest of deepening the intellectual foundation of a free and ordered society, and of broadening the understanding of its basic principles and traditions". The membership of the Society tends to be composed of persons holding conservative or libertarian political views, and many of those associated with the Society have exercised considerable influence over the development of the conservative movement in the United States.

The Division Avenue–Plaster Creek Bridge was a historic bridge in Grand Rapids, Michigan, carrying Division Avenue over Plaster Creek. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The bridge was demolished and replaced in 2007.

The Chicago Drive Bridge, also known as the Business Route M-21–Plaster Creek Bridge, is a bridge in Wyoming, Michigan, carrying Business Spur I-196 (BS I-196) over Plaster Creek. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Potter's House is a K-12 private Christian school in Michigan. The elementary and middle school campus is in Grand Rapids and the high school campus is in Wyoming. As of 2017 the superintendent is John Booy.U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and Dick DeVos funded its technological features, and Emily DeRuy wrote in The Atlantic that the couple "have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless volunteer hours."

The Old Grand Rapids Christian High School is a former private school building located at 415 Franklin Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The building was the original site of Grand Rapids Christian High School, which constructed the building in 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. As of 2019, the building is being rehabilitated as a community and religious center known as 415 Franklin.

WYCE (88.1 FM) is an American community radio station, broadcasting a noncommercial, Triple A format. The station's music is programmed by volunteers, drawing from a diverse library of eclectic music, primarily folk, rock, blues, worldbeat and jazz music, with some emphasis on local musicians.

The President Gerald R. Ford Jr. Boyhood Home is a house located at 649 Union Avenue SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Future President Gerald R. Ford lived in the house from 1921 through 1930, when he was between the age of 8 and 17. Of all his boyhood homes, Ford remembered this one most vividly in his autobiography.

The Meyer May House is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in the Heritage Hill Historic District of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the United States. It was built in 1908–09, and is located at 450 Madison Avenue SE. It is considered a fine example of Wright's Prairie School era, and "Michigan's Prairie masterpiece".

The Sligh Furniture Company Building, also known as the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation Plant No. 15, is a former factory located at 211 Logan Street SW in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

On April 4, 2022, Patrick Lyoya, a 26-year-old refugee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was fatally shot in the back of the head by Officer Christopher Schurr of the Grand Rapids Police Department during a scuffle between the two in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. After Lyoya began to flee the scene, Schurr attempted to detain him, firing a taser at Lyoya twice and missing both times, with a struggle ensuing between the individuals over the weapon. According to authorities, Lyoya had no weapons of his own in possession and an autopsy determined that his blood alcohol content was legally past the level of alcohol intoxication. As news of the shooting and videos of the incident were released, public protests occurred to denounce the officer's actions, to demand the reform of the GRPD and for the recusal of the prosecutor handling the case due to alleged conflicts of interest. Per protocol, investigations of the shooting were performed by a non-involved entity, with the Michigan State Police assuming responsibility.
