Municipality of Škocjan

Dolnja Stara Vas (pronounced [ˈdoːlnja ˈstaːɾa ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Dolnja Stara vas, in older sources also Dolenja Stara Vas, German: Unteraltendorf) is a village in the Municipality of Škocjan in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The local church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and belongs to the Parish of Škocjan.

Within the municipality, it belongs to the Village Community of Grmovlje. It lies on the regional road leading south from Škocjan to Šentjernej. The A2 motorway runs just east of the settlement. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The settlement includes the hamlets of Cesta and Zatreb.

Grmovlje (pronounced [ɡəɾˈmoːu̯ljɛ]) is a village in the Municipality of Škocjan in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. Within the municipality, the village is the administrative centre of the Village Community of Grmovlje. The local church is dedicated to Saint George and belongs to the Parish of Škocjan. It was built in 1761.
