Aghagallon (from Irish Achadh Gallan, meaning 'field of the standing stone') is a small village and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is about ten miles west of Lisburn and three miles northeast of Lurgan and had a population of 824 in the 2001 Census. Aghagallon has mainly developed along Aghalee Road in a linear fashion with development to the southeast along Colane Road. St Patrick's Church and the adjacent primary school are in the middle of the village. Although the village is named after the townland of Aghagallon, it lies almost wholly within neighbouring Derrynaseer townland.

The A3 is a major road in Northern Ireland. It travels through County Antrim, County Down, County Armagh and parts of southern County Fermanagh. The route branches off the A1, and from the start of the route at Lisburn to the border near Middletown, County Armagh, it is a primary route. The A3 is also the designated road number for the sections of the Irish N54 secondary route which lie in Northern Ireland. These sections carry secondary route status.

Dollingstown is a large village in County Down, Northern Ireland, lying between Lurgan and Magheralin. It is within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon district. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 2,103 people. Dollingstown is in the townland of Taughrane, which may come from Irish Tóchar Rathain ("causeway of bracken").

Magheralin (from Irish Machaire Lainne, meaning 'plain of the church') is a village and civil parish in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is on the main A3 road between Moira and Lurgan, beside the River Lagan. It had a population of 1,337 people in the 2011 Census. The civil parish of Magheralin covers areas of County Armagh and County Down.Its original name was Lann Rónáin Fhinn, "church of Ronan Finn", a saint from the famous tale Buile Shuibhne (The Madness of Sweeney).

Aghalee (from Irish Achadh Lí, meaning 'field of calves') is a village, townland and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is three miles from the southeast corner of Lough Neagh on the main road between Lurgan and Antrim and about 13 kilometres west of Lisburn. The village lies on the steep wooded slopes of Friar's Glen and is beside the now disused Lagan Navigational Canal. In the 2001 Census, Aghalee had a population of 774. Aghalee has several places of worship, a community hall, Orange Hall, GP Surgery, filling station and shop, a pharmacy and fast food takeaway. The village has a vocational training centre, a nursing home and a children's day nursery. Ulsterbus services link the village with Lisburn, Antrim, Lurgan and Belfast.

Ballymacmaine (from Irish Baile Mhic Mhiacháin 'MacMiacháin's townland') is a small village and townland in County Down, Northern Ireland. it is between Dollingstown and Magheralin, on the A3 route from Lurgan to Moira. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 57 people. It is within Craigavon Borough Council area. It is a small settlement with several non-residential land uses, including commercial, recreational and community facilities.

St Michael's Grammar School (Irish: Scoil Ghramadaí Naomh Mícheál, an Lorgain) was a Roman Catholic grammar school in Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Dollingstown Football Club is an intermediate-level football club from Dollingstown, County Down, Northern Ireland. The club currently competes in the NIFL Premier Intermediate League and their home ground is Planters Park in Dollingstown, which has a capacity of approximately 750 people. The manager of the club is Stephen Uprichard and the club was founded in 1979 by local football fans.With the club's founding, the club applied to join the Mid-Ulster Football League and were accepted into Division 5. Dollingstown won their first trophy, the John Magee Cup, in the 1992/93 season under the management of Colin McCullough. In the 2010–11 season, the club was denied promotion to the IFA Championship 2 for playing an ineligible player in eight league matches. The club lost the points gained through these games, and appealed the decision in court, however it was dismissed.In 2019, the club marked their 40th anniversary.

Clann Éireann GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lurgan, in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Clann Éireann GAC, part of Armagh GAA, incorporates a youth club. With a total membership of 1,500, the youth club and GAC provide a wide range of sporting, social and developmental activities throughout the year. The GAC provides Gaelic football and handball for boys and girls of all age groups from under 8s to senior level.

Lurgan (from Irish An Lorgain, meaning 'the long low ridge') is a town in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, near the southern shore of Lough Neagh. Lurgan is about 18 miles (29 km) south-west of Belfast and is linked to the city by both the M1 motorway and the Belfast–Dublin railway line. It had a population of about 28,634 (38,198 District Area) at the 2021 UK census and is within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon district. For some purposes, Lurgan is treated as part of the "Craigavon Urban Area" along with neighbouring Craigavon and Portadown. Lurgan is characteristic of many Plantation of Ulster settlements, with its straight, wide planned streets. It is the site of a number of historic listed buildings including Brownlow House and Lurgan Town Hall. Lurgan Park is the largest urban park in Northern Ireland.Historically the town was known as a major centre for the production of textiles (mainly linen) after the Industrial Revolution, and it continued to be a major producer of textiles until that industry steadily declined in the late 20th century. The development of the 'new city' of Craigavon had a major impact on Lurgan in the 1960s when much industry was attracted to the area.

Derrymore (from Irish Doire Mór 'great oak-grove') is a small village and townland in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 243 people. It lies on the shores of Lough Neagh, within the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area. The village is a linear settlement comprising residential development and a primary school, but no other community facilities.
