RAF New Romney

St Mary in the Marsh is a village and civil parish near New Romney in Kent, England, situated in the heart of Romney Marsh in one of its least densely populated areas, with most local amenities available 3 miles away in New Romney or St Mary's Bay at 2 miles. The village centre consists of about forty homes, a few scattered farms and The Star Inn, along with the church of St Mary the Virgin and the St Marys Hut, now closed. St Mary's Bay is also in the parish. A group of villagers have established a charity "St Mary in the Marsh Project Fund" with the aim of building a new community hub.

Romney Warren or Romney Marsh is a 10.9-hectare (27-acre) country park and Local Nature Reserve in New Romney in Kent. It is owned by Folkestone and Hythe District Council and managed by the Romney Warren Project, which is a partnership between Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Romney Warren Charitable Trust, Kent Wildlife Trust and Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership. It is part of the Dungeness, Romney Marsh and Rye Bay Ramsar internationally important wetland site and Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The Hope Church of All Saints is a ruined church building on Romney Marsh, about 1 mile (1.6 km) north-west of New Romney, in Kent, England, near the road from Ivychurch to New Romney. Since 2017 a sculpture park has been created on the site.

St. Mary's Bay railway station is a small station in St Mary's Bay, Kent, England, between the larger stations of New Romney and Dymchurch, on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Situated off Jefferstone Lane the station has two platforms, one of which (the 'down' platform) is without station buildings. The other (the 'up' platform) has three buildings. The first is a booking office and when the station is staffed, a passenger waiting room, which also houses the control equipment for the adjacent level crossing. This building is joined to an open-fronted platform shelter with passenger seating. The third building is a toilet block, although this has been out of use for some years. The station is currently used largely by local residents and passengers alighting here for the sandy beach. Also in St Mary's Bay, about a quarter of a mile further north down Dunstall Lane is the now-closed Golden Sands Halt railway station, formerly used by the Maddieson's Golden Sands holiday camp.

St Mary's Bay, also known as The Bay, is a coastal village in Kent, England. Situated on Romney Marsh, St Mary's Bay has a long sandy beach which stretches north to Dymchurch and south to Littlestone-on-Sea. It has a station on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.

Golden Sands Halt railway station was a private station on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in St Mary's Bay, Kent, England. In the 1990s it was briefly renamed Reunion Halt.

Newchurch is a village and civil parish in the Folkestone and Hythe District in Kent, England. The village is located on the Romney Marsh, 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Dymchurch During the Second World War it was home to an RAF airfield, RAF Newchurch, that operated Hawker Tempest fighter aircraft under Wing Commander Roland Beamont which participated in the defence of the UK against the German V-1 flying bomb offensive of 1944. A Chain Home coastal radar station was also located there. The village's only pub, the Black Bull, owned at one time by Mackeson's Brewery and Shepherd Neame Brewery closed in 1995 and is now a private house. The parish church is dedicated to St Peter and St Paul. The ecclesiastical parish forms part of the Romney Deanery of the Maidstone archdeaconry of the Diocese of Canterbury.

St Clement's Church is an Anglican church, in the village of Old Romney, Kent, England. It is a Grade I listed building. The church is dedicated to Saint Clement, a successor to Saint Peter at Rome. It is built on an artificial mound to protect it from floodwater. It is thought the original church was built in the 8th century. In the 11th or 12th century the Saxon church was replaced by an early Norman church, aisleless and with a square-ended chancel. It was enlarged in the 13th century. The present building, mostly of the 13th century, has a nave and chancel, and there are north and south chapels. There is a small tower, with south-east and south-west buttresses, in the south-west corner, and a north porch.

The naval Battle of Dungeness took place on 30 November 1652 (10 December in the Gregorian calendar) during the First Anglo-Dutch War near the cape of Dungeness in Kent.

Old Romney is a village and civil parish in the Folkestone and Hythe district of Kent, England. The village, as its name suggests, is the original site of the settlement, and is situated two miles (3.2 km) inland from New Romney. It lies on what was once an island in the former estuary of the River Rother. It was noted in Roman times as Vetus Rumellenum. By the time of the Domesday Book in the 11th century, New Romney had been established.
