Genesee Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The district contains 16 contributing properties including 14 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing object. The focal point is Genesee Park, an informally landscaped village green. The district includes a remarkably intact collection of mid- to late-19th century civic, domestic, and religious properties. There are two notable churches: the massive St. Peter's Episcopal Church (1868), designed by Richard Upjohn, and the former North Presbyterian Church (1875), both examples of the Gothic Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Geneva Downtown Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Geneva, Ontario County, New York. It encompasses 83 contributing buildings in the central business district of Geneva. They were built between about 1840 and 1940, and include notable examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, Romanesque Revival, Colonial Revival, and Art Deco style commercial architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Farmers and Merchants Bank, Smith's Opera House, and United States Post Office. Other notable buildings include the Prouty Block (1876), YMCA (1902), Wheat Building (1904), Guard Building (1917, 1924), Geneva City Hall (1913, 1940), Odd Fellows Building (1884-1890), and Kresge Building (1928).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Farmers and Merchants Bank, also known as Geneva Savings Bank, is a historic bank building located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. It was constructed in 1914–1915 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay brick building with a cast stone facade. The facade embodies a full range of Neoclassical features derived from ancient Greek architecture that were meant to convey a sense of integrity, durability, and reliability to the venerable financial institution of public banking.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. It is located in the Geneva Commercial Historic District.

US Post Office—Geneva is a historic post office building located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. It is a symmetrically massed one story structure faced with red brick and trimmed in limestone. It was constructed in 1905-1906 and is the first post office constructed in New York state in the Colonial Revival style. It is one of 13 post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department under James Knox Taylor. The entrance portico features four Doric columns supporting a full Doric entablature and pediment with an oculus in its tympanum. The interior features a mural titled "The Vineyard" by Peter Blume and installed in 1942.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It is located in the Geneva Commercial Historic District.

First Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The church was constructed in 1893-1894 and is an example of Romanesque Revival style. Constructed of brick with limestone accents, the main block is surmounted by a profusion of tower, turrets, and cross gables. The front facade is flanked by two massive square towers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Geneva Armory is a historic National Guard armory building located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The armory consists of a long, shallow, rectangular, five-story, hip-roofed administration building with an attached 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular gable-roofed drill shed. The original section of the administration building was built in 1892 and designed by architect Isaac G. Perry. It was tripled in size in 1906 and the addition included a slightly off-center 10-sided, 4+1⁄2-story castle-like tower.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

St. Francis deSales Church is a historic Catholic church in Geneva, New York. A historic district of the church and three associated buildings, designated St. Francis de Sales Parish Complex, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Smith Opera House, also known as the Geneva Theater, the Smith, and Smith's Opera House, is a historic theater building located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. It was constructed in 1894 and is a 3+1⁄2-story, detached brick-and-stone building. It was built by one of Geneva's most respected citizens, William Smith. It was renovated in 1931 as a movie theater by architect Victor Rigaumount in a unique combination of Art Deco and Baroque motifs. At one time, it was part of the Schine Theater Chain and was substantially redecorated and redesigned under their ownership. In the late 1960s the theater changed to the ownership of Panther Enterprises and was renamed simply The Geneva Theater. The Geneva Theatre was renamed Smith Opera House in 1983. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Geneva Commercial Historic District.

DeSales High School was a Catholic school established in 1912 in the Diocese of Rochester. It was located in the northern sector of Geneva, New York. DeSales High's mission was "to provide an academically excellent education in an intimate, faith-filled community". It was the only Catholic high school in the Finger Lakes region. DeSales closed on July 31, 2012 by the Diocese of Rochester due to financial struggles and decreasing enrollment. The final Senior class (the class of 2012) graduated in the centennial of the school.

Smith Observatory and Dr. William R. Brooks House is a historic home and observatory located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. Both structures were built in 1888. The observatory is a small frame building consisting of a two-story tower flanked by two small wings. The tower contains a 10-inch refracting telescope by Warner & Swasey of Cleveland, Ohio. The east wing contains an intact meridian transit telescope and sidereal pendulum clock. The house is a two-story brick dwelling with a broad range of intact, late Victorian eclectic features.Brooks was a Professor of Astronomy at Hobart College, which owned the observatory until the late 20th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Geneva General Hospital is a 132-bed hospital in upstate New York with additional outpatient services via clinics. It was founded in 1898 and also operates two nursing homes and a nursing school; the latter's program offers a two-year A.S. (Associate degree in Science).

Washington Street Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The cemetery was laid out in 1832 and the entry is distinguished by a handsome cast iron arch dating from the 1840s / 1850s. It contains about 2,200 burials dating from 1832 to the 1950s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
