Church and Wellesley is an LGBT-oriented enclave in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is roughly bounded by Gerrard Street to the south, Yonge Street to the west, Charles Street to the north, and Jarvis Street to the east, with the core commercial strip located along Church Street from Wellesley south to Alexander. Though some gay and lesbian oriented establishments can be found outside this area, the general boundaries of this village have been defined by the Gay Toronto Tourism Guild.

CIRR-FM (103.9 FM, 103.9 Proud FM) is a radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned by Evanov Communications, it broadcasts a Hot AC/CHR format with a focus on the area's LGBT community. Launching on April 16, 2007, it was the first radio station in Canada targeted specifically to an LGBT audience, and the first commercial, terrestrial radio station in the world to target such an audience. It is one of six stations in Toronto that reports to Nielsen BDS' Canadian Top 40 airplay panel.Originally broadcasting from Toronto's Church and Wellesley neighbourhood, CIRR's studios are currently located on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville neighbourhood of Toronto, while its transmitter is located atop the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto across from Toronto City Hall.

Barbara Hall Park (formerly Cawthra Square Park) is a park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The park was renamed to commemorate Barbara Hall in 2014.An AIDS memorial is installed in the park. The memorial was vandalized in 2023.

The Paul Kane House is a heritage structure in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.Paul Kane, an important early Canadian artist, purchased the property in 1853 and built a cottage on the site. On May 29, 1855, a fire broke out in Kane's stables, and spread to neighbouring structures.He and his heirs later expanded the cottage, and clad it in brick. His family owned the property until 1903, after which it served a variety of purposes. It was acquired by a church for the deaf, who constructed a larger structure in front of the house. When a developer demolished the church in the 1970s, it exposed the heritage house, triggering a grass-roots effort to save the house from demolition. The house was bought by the city in 1978 and subsequently designated a heritage structure under the Ontario Heritage Act. In 1984, the Toronto Star published an article about the building, illustrated by photos showing it boarded up, quoting neighbours calling for it to be demolished. In 1985, an architect incorporated the house into a new housing cooperative being built on Isabella Street, the street just north of Wellesley. The design only integrated the sound portions of the house, the rear of the original house being damaged by fire. The city created a small parkette, at 56 Wellesley Street East in what was once Kane's front yard.

A statue of Alexander Wood was erected in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by the Church Wellesley Village Business Improvement Area (CWVBIA) and the municipal government of Toronto on May 28, 2005. Designed and constructed by artist Del Newbigging, the 8 ft (244 cm) tall bronze sculpture was installed at the corner of Church and Alexander Streets in Church and Wellesley, the gay village of Toronto. It was the first LGBT monument in Canada. The statue was removed and destroyed by the CWVBIA on April 4, 2022, amid renewed focus on Wood's ties to a group that raised funds for a mission school that later became the Shingwauk Indian Residential School.

Alexander Street Baptist Church was a Baptist church in Toronto, Ontario, Canada located on the south side of Alexander Street between Yonge and Church streets. The congregation was founded in 1866 and the church building, designed by Henry Langley, was completed the following year. When the congregation relocated in 1888, it was sold to the Anglican Church and eventually demolished in the mid-1950s.

Toronto New School opened its doors in February 2010, offering an interdisciplinary curriculum to high school students in grades 9 through 12. The school emerged after SOLA (School of Liberal Arts) went bankrupt. The principal and vice principal of SOLA created Toronto New school. Toronto New School went bankrupt in two years.

The Keg Mansion is a former residential building that is presently used as a location for a The Keg restaurant, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building was initially known as Euclid Hall, a prominent downtown heritage building located at 515 Jarvis Street.The building was originally built in 1867 for Arthur McMaster, nephew of Canadian senator and banker, William McMaster. In 1915, the building's was bequeathed by the Massey family to Victoria College, a federated college of the University of Toronto. In 1976, The Keg repurposed the building to serve as a restaurant.

Jarvis Collegiate Institute is a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is named after Jarvis Street where it is located. It is a part of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Prior to 1998, it was within the Toronto Board of Education (TBE).Founded in 1807, it is the oldest active high school in Ontario. Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute, founded c. 1792), was the oldest but closed in 2020.
