The Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) (Persian: بورس اوراق بهادار تهران, romanized: Burs-e Owraq-e Bahadar-e Tehran) is Iran's largest stock exchange, which first opened in 1967. The TSE is based in Tehran. As of May 2023, 666 companies with a combined market capitalization of US$1.45 trillion were listed on TSE. TSE, which is a founding member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges, has been one of the world's best performing stock exchanges in the years 2002 through 2013. TSE is an emerging or "frontier" market.Iran's capital market has companies from a wide range of industries, including automotive, telecommunications, agriculture, petrochemical, mining, steel iron, copper, banking and insurance, banking and others. Many of the companies listed are state-owned firms that have been privatized.

Tehran International & Adaptive School (TIS) is an international school located in North Tehran, Iran. It consists of three campuses: girls, boys elementary and boys grade 7–12. The school offers the International Baccalaureate's IB Diploma Programme. Boys attend school in Saadat Abad, while girls attend school in Shahrak-e Gharb. There are two divisions per school: an international school for non-Iranians, which consists of mainly an ex-patriate student body (it enrols very few Iranian nationals); and an adaptive school for Iranians returning from abroad who need to re-adjust to the Iranian educational system.It was established in 1985 under the Education Ministry of Iran.

Evin Prison (Persian: زندان اوین, romanized: Zendân-e-Evin) is a prison located in the Evin neighborhood of Tehran, Iran. The prison has been the primary site for the housing of Iran's political prisoners since 1972, before and after the Islamic Revolution, in a purpose-built wing nicknamed "Evin University" due to the number of students and intellectuals housed there. Evin Prison has been accused of committing "serious human rights abuses" against its political dissidents and critics of the government.

The Parsian Azadi Hotel (Persian: هتل پارسیان آزادی) is one of the largest and tallest hotels in Tehran, situated in the northern Evin neighborhood, overlooking the city. The hotel has 475 guest rooms & suites.

The Aerospace Research Institute (ARI) (Persian: پژوهشگاه هوافضا) is a public advanced research institute founded in 1999 in Tehran, Iran. Shahr-e Bazi (Persian: شهر بازی, lit. 'The City of Games', formerly known as Luna Park), was an amusement park located in the north of Tehran. Covering 150 acres (0.61 km2), it was the largest amusement park in the Islamic Republic of Iran and admitted around 2.5 million visitors every year. It has been closed since 2007 due to highway construction, lack of inspection, and malfunctions.The amusement park was opened in 1970 under the last Shah of Iran. It was built by Abbas Pedarsani. It became a state-owned park after the Iran–Iraq War in 1988. In the following years, the state-owned park was made more technologically advanced. Shahr-e Bazi featured twelve thrill rides, as well as a cinema and theater. There were also six restaurants with different food from around the world. Souvenir shops and a money exchange office were located around the park. One of the main reasons for the park's popularity were its water slides and pools. The park was open 10 months a year, during spring, summer and autumn. During winter, heavy snow made it necessary to keep the park closed. Admission was around $3 for adults, whereas children under seven could get in free.

Persepolis Athletic and Cultural Club (Persian:باشگاه فرهنگی ورزشی پرسپولیس) is an Iranian multisport club based in Tehran, Iran. It was established by Ali Abdo. The club is most known for its football team, Persepolis F.C. which competes in the Iran Pro League. It also fields teams in futsal, taekwondo, volleyball, wrestling, handball, swimming, weightlifting, wheelchair basketball, judo, athletics, goalball, and chess. Persepolis Athletic and Cultural Club also owns and operates Persepolis University, Persepolis TV and Radio, Persepolis Energy Drink, and Persepolis Restaurants.

Persepolis F.C. (women) is the women's football section of Persepolis F.C., based in Tehran, Iran.

Persepolis Football Club (Persian: باشگاه فوتبال پرسپولیس, romanized: Bâšgâh-e Futbâl-e Perspolis) is an Iranian professional football club based in Tehran that competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Persepolis F.C. is the football club of the multisport Persepolis Athletic and Cultural Club. The club is owned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. There have been many attempts to privatise the club, which have been without success due to the large debt the club has accumulated. Persepolis was founded in 1963 by Ali Abdo and has been in the first division of Iranian football since 1968. The club has played at its home ground, Azadi Stadium, since 1973. They contest the Tehran Derby against rival team Esteghlal, a match that is closely followed by Iranian football fans and considered to be one of the popular clubs in Asia,. According to the Asian Football Confederation, Persepolis is the most popular football club in Asia. At the AFC Champions League, 11 of the top 20 matches by attendance were played by Persepolis. Persepolis has also broken the record of 100,000 attendees in four matches at the AFC Champions League. Persepolis has won a record fifteen Iranian league titles, as well as seven Hazfi Cups, five Super Cups and the 1990–91 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. Many notable players have played for the club, including former Bundesliga players Ali Karimi, Ali Daei, Vahid Hashemian and Mehdi Mahdavikia. Ali Parvin, who spent 18 years with the club from 1970 to 1988, is widely regarded as the club's greatest player.

The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) is the government ministry of science, research and technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran. State-run (non-medical) universities of Iran are under the direct supervision of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The ministry was established in 2000 when the ministry of culture and higher education was renamed as the ministry of science, research and technology.In 2000 the ministry set up the Aerospace Research Institute.The supervision of higher education institutions and the approval of the study programmes, as well as the accreditation of universities and other higher education institutions are conducted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Medical education falls within the remit of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. Alzahra University (Persian: دانشگاه الزهرا, Dāneshgāh-e Alzahrā) is a female-only public university in the Vanak neighborhood of Tehran, Iran. Alzahra University is the only comprehensive women's university in Iran and the Middle East. Acceptance to the university is competitive and entrance to undergraduate and graduate programs requires scoring among the top 1% of students in the Nationwide University Entrance Exams. Alzahra University is ranked second in Iran and 201–300 in the world, according to University Impact Rankings 2019, Times Higher Education (THE). Alzahra University ranked number 17 in Iran and number 801+ worldwide according to the physical sciences subject ranking, World University Rankings 2019 by Times Higher Education.

Shahrak-e Gharb or Gharb Town (Persian: شهرک غرب – Šahrak e Gharb, "West Town"), also known as Qods Town (Persian: شهرک قدس – Šahrak e Qods, "Quds (Jerusalem) Town"), is a planned town built as a massive project of modern, luxury apartment buildings and villas in the north-western part of Tehran, Iran. Originally built based on the model of upscale American suburbs in 1961, today it is considered one of the most affluent neighborhoods of Tehran. It is one of the largest districts of Tehran, including easy access to expressways including Chamran Expressway, Hemmat Expressway, Niayesh Expressway, Sheikh Fazl-allah Nouri Expressway, and Yadegar-e-Emam Expressway, proximity to four major hospitals, as well as three large and famous shopping centers, numerous parks, cinema and cultural centers, police and fire stations, and post offices. Around the 1980s, there was only one central shopping center there, named Bāzārče ("mini-bazaar"). Construction of the Golestan Shopping Center began a few years after the Iran–Iraq War. It was designed by Jordan Gruzen Architects in 1978 and built by another American company by the name Starrett, although some sections were never completed. Today, several modern shopping centers including Golestan, Iran Zamin, and Milad-e-Noor are located in this area. The tallest tower of Iran, Milad Tower, which stands 435m high from base to tip of the antenna, is located just outside the district.An international school is located nearby, within the town, and a second is minutes away in Sa'adat Abad. Because of the eastward current of the air in Tehran and its constant purification by the adjacent mountains, this town is less polluted compared to other northern parts of the city. These and many more advantages have made this area a prime and pleasant location for living, attracting many foreign temporary residents, diplomats and expatriates.
