Royal Oak is a station of the London Underground, on the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, between Westbourne Park and Paddington stations. The station is on Lord Hill's Bridge and is in Travelcard Zone 2 for the London Underground. Although not heavily used at other times, the station is extremely busy during the annual Notting Hill Carnival. There is no wheelchair access to the platform. It is classed as a "local station" in Transport for London's "Fit for the Future" development outline.The station opened on 30 October 1871, although the Metropolitan Railway extension to Hammersmith had opened in 1864. It is close to the elevated Westway section of the A40 road. The station is named after a nearby public house, "The Royal Oak" (later "The Railway Tap" and now "The Porchester"). There was a small newsagents kiosk next to the ticket office from the 1950s to 1986, when it was closed to make room for ticketing machines needed for the Underground Ticketing System (UTS).

St Mary Magdalene, Paddington, is a Grade I listed Anglican church at Rowington Close, London, dedicated to Jesus' companion, Mary Magdalene. The parish was established in 1865 and work on the church started in 1867. Although complete in 1872, a fire destroyed the brand new roof so the first Mass in the new building could not be celebrated until St Mary Magdalene's Day, 22 July 1873. The church was consecrated after completion of interior decoration on 21 October 1878. The architect was George Edmund Street, and this church is considered to be his masterpiece. It includes notable stained glass by Henry Holiday and a later crypt chapel by Ninian Comper. The painted ceiling of the nave, the work of Daniel Bell, was cleaned and restored during 2018–19, with the help of a grant from the Lottery Heritage Fund. With assistance from the Paddington Development Trust, an extension was also built, containing additional spaces and facilities intended for use by the wider local community.

Bayswater Synagogue was an Ashkenazi-Orthodox synagogue located in Chichester Place, Paddington, London, near the Harrow Road. Built in 1863, as a branch synagogue jointly of the Great Synagogue and the New Synagogue, it was one of the original five synagogues that formed the United Synagogue in 1870. The original building was demolished in 1965 for construction of the Westway overpass and the Warwick Estate redevelopment.

Westbourne Gardens, known as Westbourne Park until the late nineteenth century, are gardens on a triangular plot in Paddington, London, in the City of Westminster. The gardens are open to the public and maintained by the City of Westminster.

The Porchester Centre is a Grade II* listed building at the junction of Queensway and Porchester Road in Bayswater, London W2.

Westminster Academy is an Academy (publicly funded, semi-independent secondary school) located in London, England. It is a co-educational school for pupils of 11+ years, and specialises in International Business and Enterprise. The school was created, along with nearby Paddington Academy, following the closure of North Westminster Community School.

Porchester Square is an archetypal-format, narrow London garden square in Bayswater on the cusp of inter-related Westbourne. It is lined with tall white Victorian classical architecture residential buildings. It is half of one large block south of the closing section of the Great Western Main Line that leads into London Paddington station.

The Brick House is a private house in the Westbourne Grove area of west London that was short-listed for the 2006 Stirling Prize for Architecture. It was designed by the firm of architects Caruso St John and constructed by Harris Calnan Construction with service engineering by Mendick Waring and structural engineering by Price & Myers. The project inserted a new house, accessed through an archway into the end of a Victorian city-centre street. It was completed in May 2005.

St Stephen's Church, Westbourne Park, is a Grade II listed parish church in the Church of England in London.

Ranelagh Bridge Yard was a locomotive stabling point located near London Paddington station.

Gloucester Terrace is a street in Central London in the vicinity of Paddington and Bayswater. Located in the City of Westminster, it runs northwards from Lancaster Terrace near to Lancaster Gate tube station and Hyde Park before curving round to meet Porchester Square around Westbourne. The southern section is close to the border between Tyburnia and Bayswater. It intersects with Craven Road, Chilworth Street, Cleveland Terrace, Bishop's Bridge Road and Orsett Terrace. Its northern section is close to the Great Western Main Line and Westway. Westbourne Terrace runs directly parallel to the east. The street was developed in the early Victoria era, with white stucco terraces that are characteristic of the wider area. The plans for the area had been laid out in 1827 by George Gutch, based on an earlier conception by Samuel Pepys Cockerell. Gloucester Terrace was designed largely by the architects William Kingdom and William King. The Hallfield Estate to the west of Gloucester Terrace, is a modernist addition built after the Second World War.
