The Embassy of France in Kyiv is the diplomatic mission of France in Ukraine.

Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Theatre, Cinema and Television University (Ukrainian: Ки́ївський націона́льний університе́т теа́тру, кіно́ і телеба́чення і́мені Іва́на Ка́рповича Карпе́нка-Ка́рого, romanized: Kyivskyi Universytet Teatru, Kino i Telebachennia imeni I. K. Karpenka-Karoho) is the national university specializing exclusively in performing arts and located in Kyiv (Ukraine). It is a multidisciplinary institution that includes a department of theatrical arts and the Institute of Screen Arts. The university has four campuses around the city of Kyiv and a separate student dormitory. The acting rector of university is Inna Kocharian.

The embassy was officially established in 1992, following Ukrainian independence in 1991 and the establishment of relations between the nations in 1992.

The Karaite Kenesa of Kyiv is a former Kenesa (Karaite synagogue) in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is located in Yaroslaviv Val Street 7, close to the Golden Gates of Kyiv and is considered to be one of the remarkable monuments of architecture and artwork in Kyiv. Nowadays, it is known as the Ukrainian House of Actors.

The Women's Higher Courses (Ukrainian: Киевские высшие женские курсы, romanized: Kijevskije vyssjevskije kursy), or KVZjK, in Kyiv was the first women's higher education institution in Tsarist Ukraine, active in (1878–1889) and (1906–1917).The institute opened its doors in 1878. It was the first university open to women in Ukraine. A women's movement fighting for women's access to higher education emerged in Ukraine in the 19th-century, similar to that of Russia. The Tsarist government founded the institution in order the stop women from studying abroad, where they could come in contact with political opposition. The university did offer higher education, but similar to the Russian equivalent, did not offer an exam similar to the exam offered to men. Eqvivalent institutions of this kind were founded in Russia, as well as in Odessa in 1879, Charkov in 1880 and Jekaterinoslav in 1916.

Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, Ukraine, is an architectural monument of Kyivan Rus. The former cathedral is one of the city's best known landmarks and the first heritage site in Ukraine to be inscribed on the World Heritage List along with the Kyiv Cave Monastery complex. Aside from its main building, the cathedral includes an ensemble of supporting structures such as a bell tower and the House of Metropolitan. In 2011 the historic site was reassigned from the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. One of the reasons for the move was that both Saint Sophia Cathedral and Kyiv Pechersk Lavra are recognized by the UNESCO World Heritage Program as one complex, while in Ukraine the two were governed by different government entities. It is currently a museum. In Ukrainian the cathedral is known as Sobor Sviatoi Sofii (Собор Святої Софії) or Sofiiskyi sobor (Софійський собор). The complex of the cathedral is the main component and museum of the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kyiv" which is the state institution responsible for the preservation of the cathedral complex as well as four other historic landmarks across the nation.

The Golden Gate of Kyiv (Ukrainian: Золоті ворота, Zoloti vorota) was the main gate in the 11th century fortifications of Kiev (today Kyiv), the capital of Kievan Rus'. It was named in imitation of the Golden Gate of Constantinople. The structure was dismantled in the Middle Ages, leaving few vestiges of its existence. It was rebuilt completely by the Soviet authorities in 1982, though no images of the original gates have survived. The decision has been immensely controversial because there were many competing reconstructions of what the original gate might have looked like.The rebuilt structure on the corner of Volodymyr street and Yaroslaviv Val Street contains a branch of the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kyiv" museum. The name Zoloti Vorota is also used for a nearby theater and the Zoloti Vorota station of the Kyiv Metro.

Zoloti Vorota (Ukrainian: Золоті́ воро́та, (listen)) is a station on the Kyiv Metro system that serves Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. The station was opened as part of the first segment of the Syretsko-Pecherska Line on 31 December 1989. It serves as a transfer station to the Teatralna station of the Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. It is located near the city's Golden Gate, from which the station takes its name. The original design plans for the station called for a clean utilitarian structure typical of metro stations of that period. Due to the efforts of the city's chief architect Mykola Zharikov, the design was scrapped in favor of one that resembles an ancient Kievan Rus' temple by Borys Zhezherin, Vadym Zhezherin, and Zharikov himself. Such a design was a particularly risky feat, since Ukraine was a part of the secular Soviet Union at the time of the station's construction. Vadym Zhezherin and Mykola Zharikov, among the other artists and architects of the station, were bestowed the State Prize of Ukraine in the Field of Architecture for their work in 1991.The Zoloti Vorota features 80 distinct mosaic pieces and images depicting the history of Kievan Rus'. In 2011, the station's mosaics were listed as "newly discovered objects of cultural heritage" by the city's Department of Cultural Heritage. The station is regarded as one of the most impressive metro stations in Europe, being placed on a list compiled by The Daily Telegraph in 2013.
