Stubbekøbing Church

Stubbekøbing (Danish pronunciation: [ˈstupəˌkʰøˀpe̝ŋ]) is a town with a population of 2,214 (1 January 2025) in Guldborgsund municipality in Region Sjælland on the northeastern coast of the island of Falster in south Denmark. Ferry service connects the town of Stubbekøbing over the Grønsund to Bogø at the town of Nyby. To the northeast is the island of Møn, which is separated from Stubbekøbing by the waters of Grønsund, the strait which separates Møn and the island of Bogø from Falster. To the east and southeast is the Baltic Sea. Stubbekøbing Church, built in the Romanesque style in the 13th century, has a Renaissance altarpiece and an elaborately carved pulpit as well as a variety of old frescos and wall decorations (1300–1500). Until 1 January 2007 Stubbekøbing was also a municipality covering an area of 156 km², and with a total population of 6,786 (2005). Stubbekøbing municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Nykøbing Falster, Nysted, Nørre Alslev, Sakskøbing, and Sydfalster municipalities to form the new Guldborgsund municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 907 km² and a total population of 63,533 (2005).

Bogø (Danish pronunciation: [ˈpɔwˌøˀ]) is a Danish island in the Baltic Sea, just west of Møn. The population is 1,182 (1 January 2025) with 927 living in the only town on the island, Bogø By. The island is approximately 7 km long by 3 km wide at the largest points, with a total area of 13 km2. The highest point of the island is 32 metres above sea level. To the west of Bogø is a smaller island, Farø, which carries the E47/E55 motorway from Copenhagen to the major islands of Lolland and Falster. The routes continue via ferry to Germany. Bogø is connected by causeways to both Farø and Møn, and carries one of the two main routes for vehicles travelling to Møn. It is part of Vordingborg Municipality. The island has a varied landscape including wooded areas and traditional villages. To the northwest of the island at Skåninge is a small harbour and bathing jetty. To the south east is a larger harbour with a car ferry which operates during summer months to Stubbekøbing on Falster. Near the centre of the island is a preserved windmill from 1852, which is being restored to form a working museum. The island was for a long time part of the crown estates. In 1769 it was offered for sale, and purchased by the islanders for 18,456 rigsdaler. To pay for this, the islanders cut down much of the forest then growing on the island.

Farø (Danish pronunciation: [ˈfɑːˌʁœˀ]) is an island in Denmark, located between the islands Sjælland and Falster. It has an area of 0.93 km2 and has a population of four people (2019). Administratively it is part of Vordingborg Municipality.

The Farø Bridges (Danish: Farøbroerne, pronounced [ˈfɑːʁœˌpʁoˀɐnə]) are two road bridges that connect the islands of Falster and Zealand in Denmark by way of the small island of Farø which is approximately mid-way across the Storstrømmen sound. A smaller bridge from Farø provides access to Bogø and thence to the island of Møn.

Stensbygård is an agricultural estate situated close to Langebæk and the southern tip of Zealand, Vordingborg Municipality, some 100 km south of Copenhagen, Denmark. The present main building was constructed in 1871 to a Historicist design by August Klein. The estate covers approximately 410 hectares of land of which 260 hectares are farmland and 150 hectares are forest.

Falster Golf Club (Danish: Falster Golfklub) is a golf club in central Falster island, Denmark, to the northwest of the village of Virket. It is accessed via a road named Virketvej. The course is surrounded by extensive forest and has numerous streams and lakes in the vicinity; the largest lake is in the southeastern part of the course. The opening 9 holes are set on high land, and the back 9 are located on lower lying moorland and are generally narrower, lined with trees. The 8th hole is a long par five hole which involves a blind second short over a hill which crosses a fence. The website Top 100 Golf Courses ranks the course as the 26th best in Denmark. To the south of the club along the main road is Voldstedgaard, a house currently run as a B&B to cater to golfers playing at the club.

Vinderød Parish (Danish: Vinderød Sogn) was a parish in the Diocese of Helsingør in Halsnæs Municipality, Denmark. The satellite town of Vinderød was in the parish. The parish was merged with Frederiksværk Parish on 1 July 2014 to form Frederiksværk-Vinderød Parish.

Karleby Rectory (Danish: Karleby Præstegård) is a three-winged clergy house situated just southeast of Karleby Church in the village of Karleby on the Danish island of Falster. The half-timbered, thatched main wing dates from 1770 and the two are around 1740. Access to the central courtyard is through a gateway in the western barn wing. A garden with many old trees and rare plant varieties is located to the south and east of the building complex. The building complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950.

Karleby is a village in Guldborgsund Municipality in the Danish island Falster. Presently It has less than 200 inhabitants.

Horreby is a village located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) east of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. In January 2023 it had a population of 297.

Stensved is a town, with a population of 1,585 (1. January 2022), situated on the southern Zealand (Region Sjælland), in Denmark. It is a satellite town to Vordingborg. The town is a part of Vordingborg Municipality. Stensved was inhabited already in the Iron Age, which stretched from 1200 BC to 1 BC.

Torkilstrup Rectory (Danish: Torkilstrup Præstegård) is located just east of Torkilstrup Church in the village of Torkilstrup, some 7 km (4 mi) southeast of Nørre Alslev, on the Danish island of Falster. A stone outside the rectory commemorates that Bernhard Severin Ingemann was born in the building. The rectory was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950.
