Tuen Mun New Town

Tuen Mun District is one of the 18 administrative districts of Hong Kong. It is the westernmost continental district of Hong Kong. It had a population of 487,546 in 2011. Part of the district is the Tuen Mun New Town (or simply Tuen Mun), which contains one of the largest residential areas in the New Territories.

The Tuen Mun Public Library (Chinese: 屯門公共圖書館) is a public library located at 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. The Environmental Protection Department has an air quality monitoring station set up in the Tuen Mun Public Library.

Tuen Mun Town Plaza (S as tmtplaza; Chinese: 屯門市廣場) is the largest shopping mall in the NW New Territories of Hong Kong. Established in 1988 and located in the town of Tuen Mun, it was developed by the Sino Group. It provides a large range of merchandise, offering residents a myriad of shopping, dining and entertainment facilities. Creative promotional programmes are often held to attract customers. A complete renovation and refurbishment has finished to provide more than 1,000,000 sq. ft. and over five storeys. It is at the hub of transport links and networks which include bus services to various parts of Hong Kong, including express services to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, Tuen Ma line to Kowloon and the Light Rail serving the western New Territories. More than 300,000 customers come to the mall each day.

Town Centre (Chinese: 市中心) is a major MTR Light Rail stop. It is located at ground level at Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road in Tuen Mun Town Centre, Tuen Mun District, Hong Kong. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 2.Unlike other intermediate stops in the Light Rail system, a total of four platforms were constructed at Town Centre stop, due to the high level of passenger demand associated with its location within the Tuen Mun town centre proper. It has footbridges linking Tuen Mun Park, Trend Plaza, Tuen Mun Town Plaza and a bus terminus.

Pui To (Chinese: 杯渡) is one of the MTR Light Rail stops. It is elevated at Pui To Road and Castle Peak Road in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 2 February 1992 and belongs to Zone 2. The stop has reserved area for the construction of the branch line to Chi Lok Fa Yuen, but the plan was left out due to insufficient population in Chi Lok Fa Yuen area.

Tuen Mun Park (Chinese: 屯門公園), formerly known as Tuen Mun Town Park, is located in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. It is the largest town park in the New Territories, covering 12.5 hectares (31 acres).The park sits between the Tuen Mun River and Tuen Mun Town Centre, near Tuen Mun Town Plaza, Tuen Mun Public Library and Tuen Mun Town Hall. It is next to Tuen Mun station and the Light Rail Town Centre stop.

Tuen Mun or Castle Peak is an area near the mouth of Tuen Mun River and Castle Peak Bay in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It was one of the earliest settlements in what is now Hong Kong and can be dated to the Neolithic period. In the more recent past, it was home to many Tanka fishermen who gathered at Castle Peak Bay. Tuen Mun is now a modern, mainly residential area in the north-west New Territories. As of 2011, 487,546 live in Tuen Mun and over 95% of them are Chinese.

On Ting (Chinese: 安定) is an MTR Light Rail stop located at ground level at Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between On Ting Estate and Yau Oi Estate, in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 2. Currently, route 751 only serves this stop in Tin Yat direction. On Ting stop was originally the terminus of Light Rail routes until 2 February 1992, when Siu Lun stop was opened. Route 507 was extended to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop, routes 506 and 612 (both now cancelled) were diverted to Yau Oi, and On Ting station lost its terminus status.

Tseng Tau Tsuen (Chinese: 井頭村) is a village in Tuen Mun District, Hong Kong. Tseng Tau Tsuen comprises Tseng Tau Chung Tsuen (井頭中村; 'Middle Tseng Tau Tsuen'), Tseng Tau Ha Tsuen (井頭下村; 'Lower Tseng Tau Tsuen') and Tseng Tau Sheung Tsuen (井頭上村; 'Upper Tseng Tau Tsuen').

Tuen Mun (Chinese: 屯門) is an MTR Light Rail stop which belongs to zone 2. There are two platforms in Tuen Mun stop. This Light Rail stop is located above Pui To Road and Ho Pong Street and north of Tuen Mun Park. It provides service for nearby residents and is an interchange station for the Tuen Ma line, formerly known as West Rail line.

San Fat Estate (Chinese: 新發邨) was the first public housing estate in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong, located on reclaimed land near the Tuen Mun River, at the junction of Pui To Road and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road. It consisted of four residential blocks completed in 1971, offering 2,131 flats with more than 6,000 residents. It was the smallest rental estate in Tuen Mun. Currently it is rebuilt as the MTR property development project “Century Gateway”.

Yau Oi Estate (Chinese: 友愛邨) is a public housing estate in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong near Light Rail Yau Oi stop. It was the third public housing estate built in Tuen Mun between 1979 and 1982 on reclaimed land of Castle Peak Bay. Consisting of 11 residential blocks, it was the largest single subsidized housing development in Hong Kong, with 9,153 units and a population of more than 35,000.
