The Lloyd Spriggle Memorial Bridge is a steel girder bridge with a concrete deck, crossing the Wisconsin Channel of the Mississippi River, which is the secondary channel at this point. The bridge carries U.S. Route 63 (US 63), connecting to the Eisenhower Bridge, which crosses the Minnesota Channel (Main Channel) of the Mississippi River at Red Wing, Minnesota. The bridge was named for Lloyd Spriggle, a longtime local leader who worked for environmental protection, including protections of local lakes, rivers, and streams.

Trenton is a town in Pierce County, Wisconsin. The population was 1,737 at the time of the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Hager City, North Red Wing, Pucketville, and Trenton are located in the town. The unincorporated communities of Moeville and Snows Corner are also located partially in the town.

The Trimbelle River is a 29.4-mile-long (47.3 km) tributary of the Mississippi River in western Wisconsin in the United States. It flows for its entire length in western Pierce County, rising in the town of Martell and flowing generally southwardly through the towns of River Falls, Trimbelle, Trenton and Diamond Bluff. It flows into the Mississippi River about 5 miles (8 km) west of Bay City. The Trembelle has been designated by the state of Wisconsin as a Class II trout stream for brown trout. Several sections of the Trimbelle have been restored by the local chapter (KIAPTUWISH) of Trout Unlimited.

Hay Creek is a small trout stream in southeastern Minnesota. It has its headwaters west of Goodhue and empties into the Mississippi River just to the north of Red Wing. It runs 25.1 miles (40.4 km). Hay Creek was named for the hay meadows near its banks. A railroad once ran along Hay Creek from the claybanks near Goodhue to the pottery and stoneware factories in Red Wing, which also made use of the water from the creek. The railroad was torn up in 1937, but traces such as trestle pilings remain.

The Red Wing Bridge was a cantilever bridge which carries U.S. Route 63 across the Mississippi River from Wisconsin to Red Wing, Minnesota. It is officially named the Eisenhower Bridge for Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, who opened the bridge in November 1960. After the collapse of the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis, the State of Minnesota conducted a thorough investigation of the state's road infrastructure, especially its bridges. The Red Wing Bridge was identified as in need of replacement; construction on the replacement span began in 2017 and the original bridge was demolished in February 2020

Barn Bluff (Dakota: Ȟemníčhaŋ, frequently anglicized to He Mni Can) is a bluff along the Mississippi River in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States. The bluff is considered sacred by the Dakota people because it is the site of many burial mounds. During the 19th century, the bluff functioned as a visual reference for explorers and travelers and later served as a limestone quarry.The bluff overlooks the downtown area and towers about 400 feet (120 m) above the Mississippi River with an extensive view of Lake Pepin to the south. It is one of hundreds of bluffs in the Driftless Area, which covers parts of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois, in addition to the southeastern toe of Minnesota.

Red Wing station is a train station in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States, served by Amtrak's (the National Railroad Passenger Corporation) Empire Builder, which runs daily between Chicago and Seattle or Portland, Oregon. The next westbound stop is in Saint Paul, Minnesota and the next eastbound stop is in Winona, Minnesota.

Red Wing is a city and the county seat of Goodhue County, Minnesota, United States, along the upper Mississippi River. The population was 16,547 at the 2020 census.This city is named for early 19th-century Dakota Sioux chief Red Wing. The federal government established a Mdewakanton Sioux Indian reservation—now Prairie Island Indian Community—in 1889 along the Mississippi River to free up land for new settlers. The city of Red Wing developed around it. The National Trust for Historic Preservation placed Red Wing on its 2008 distinctive destinations list because of its "impressive architecture and enviable natural environment."

St. James Hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States, is an Italianate building built in 1874-1875. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The NRHP-listed area was increased to become St. James Hotel and Buildings in 1982. St. James Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Red Wing was the world's largest primary market for wheat in the early 1870s, with a warehouse capacity of over 1,000,000 US bushels (35,000,000 L; 8,000,000 US dry gal; 7,800,000 imp gal) in 1873. As a result of the city's wealth, and with a need to house businesspeople and tourists visiting the city, eleven prominent businessmen invested in the construction of the hotel. It opened with a grand ball on Thanksgiving Day, 1875. It was one of the most elaborate hotels along the Mississippi River and served the city during its heyday as a commercial center and a steamboat stop. The hotel was purchased in 1977 by the Red Wing Shoe Company and renovated. It was also given two additions, a shopping courtyard and a new section for offices and hotel rooms. Until recently, the hotel had 61 guest rooms, each with its own unique decoration and bearing the name of a riverboat that used to travel up and down the Mississippi River. In early 2010, a new suite housed in the old Red Wing Iron Works Building was added to the hotel, bringing the number of rooms to 62.

The Chicago Great Western Depot at 726 East Main Street in Red Wing, in the U.S. State of Minnesota, is a former railroad station listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The depot was built in 1906 after the Chicago Great Western Railway (CGW) acquired two small railroads: the Minnesota Central, which connected to Cannon Falls; and the Duluth, Red Wing, and Southern, which connected to Zumbrota. CGW established a divisional headquarters and built this depot in 1906, with passenger space on the first floor and office space on the second floor. The red brick structure was the largest depot the railroad built in Minnesota.In 1966 the line from Red Wing south to Pine Island was torn up. In 1982 the line from Cannon Falls east to Red Wing, which had not been used for years, was abandoned. The trackage to the depot was removed. The building was remodeled as a Hardee's restaurant in 1979, but by 2006 it became a Caribou Coffee location.

The Sheldon Theatre is a historic performance venue in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States, built in 1904. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 as the T.B. Sheldon Memorial Auditorium for having local significance in the theme of performing arts. It was nominated for being the first municipally owned theatre in the United States and a long-standing cultural venue in Red Wing. It later became a contributing property to the Red Wing Mall Historic District as well.

The parish of Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States, was founded in 1858. A wooden building was erected that served the early parish well, but by 1868 it was felt that the growth of the parish made the building of a larger church a necessity. In the autumn of that year work began on the new building, constructed in Gothic Revival style following plans furnished by New York architect Henry C. Dudley. D.C. Hill was contracted to do the basic carpentry work; George H. Davis provided the finished carpentry (seats, columns, tracery, wainscoting; all of butternut finished in oil). G.A. Carlson carried out the stonework with magnesian limestone from his quarries. The windows were furnished by a "Mr. Sharpe from New York."The cornerstone was laid June 24, 1869 and the new church was consecrated by Bishop Henry Benjamin Whipple on December 19, 1871. (Due to concerns about the foundations, the steeple was not added until 1897.)The church is now a contributing property to the Red Wing Mall Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
