British Science Association

The Dana Library and Research Centre (formerly the Dana Centre) on Queen's Gate, South Kensington, London is part of the Science Museum Group. Designed by Sir Richard MacCormac of MJP Architects, the building opened in 2003 as a public event venue in London for contemporary science debate, run largely by the Science Museum. The building itself houses offices used by the Science Museum and the British Science Association (formerly known as British Association for the Advancement of Science). The Dana Centre is not directly accessible from the main museum, and is situated on the nearby Queen's Gate street. Previously an events space and café, the building re-opened in late 2015 as the Dana Library and Research Centre, aiming to "provide a world-class environment for academic research, bringing together the museum’s thriving Research and Public History Department and access to its library and archive collections".

The Embassy of Oman in London is the diplomatic mission of Oman in the United Kingdom. Oman represented Iranian interests in the UK between 2011 and 2014 as the Embassy of Iran was closed following the 2011 attack on the British Embassy in Iran. This service was no longer needed after Iran–United Kingdom relations improved following the election of President Hassan Rouhani, and the Iranian embassy reopened in February 2014.Oman also maintains a separate building at 64 Ennismore Gardens, Knightsbridge which contains the Cultural, Health and Military Attachés.

Queen's Gate is a street in South Kensington, London, England. It runs south from Kensington Gardens' Queen's Gate (the edge of which gardens are here followed by Kensington Road) to Old Brompton Road, intersecting Cromwell Road. The street is mostly in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, but part of the east side is in the City of Westminster. The municipal boundary is the street centre between Kensington Road and Imperial College Road.

Central Library is the main academic and research library of Imperial College London. The current library opened in August 1969, taking over from the original Lyon Playfair Library which had opened in 1959. The collection grew out of earlier libraries of the various departments and colleges, the oldest collection of which dates back to 1845.: 18  Central Library is the largest of the 7 libraries at Imperial with its collection covering all of the college's research departments, forming the main reference library for the college. It is situated on Queen's Lawn next to Imperial College Road, and across from Queen's Tower.

The Royal Thai Embassy in London (Thai: สถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงลอนดอน) is the diplomatic mission of Thailand in the United Kingdom, located at Queen's Gate.Thailand also maintains an Office of the Air Attaché at 2 Victoria Road, South Kensington, an Office of Commercial Attaché at 11 Hertford Street, Mayfair and an Office of Educational Attaché at 28 Prince's Gate, South Kensington. The Ambassador's Residence is located in a separate building on Tregunter Road, Brompton.

The Department of Chemistry is responsible for chemistry teaching and research at Imperial College London. The department has around 50 academic staff and 850 students, with around 550 studying undergraduate courses and 300 research students. The department is based in Chemistry Building along Imperial College Road, looking over Queen's Lawn, but also uses the remaining section of the Royal College of Science building. The department has relocated some of its research to new facilities at the 154.4 million pound Molecular Sciences Research Hub at Imperial's new White City campus. The department ranks 9th in the QS 2018 subject world rankings.

The Department of Computing (DoC) is the computer science department at Imperial College London. The department has around 50 academic staff and 1000 students, with around 600 studying undergraduate courses, 200 PhD students, and 200 MSc students. The department is predominantly based in the Huxley Building, 180 Queen's Gate, which it shares with the Maths department, however also has space in the William Penney Laboratory and in the Aeronautics and Chemical Engineering Extension. The department ranks 7th in the Times Higher Education 2020 subject world rankings.

The Statue of Robert Baden-Powell is a granite carving of Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, at Baden-Powell House in Queen's Gate, South Kensington, London, England. The statue was created by the English sculptor Don Potter in 1960 and was installed and unveiled in 1961. It now stands in Gilwell Park, the home of Scouting, following the sale of Baden-Powell House in 2021.

Queen's Gate House, still commonly known by its previous name of Baden-Powell House, is a conference centre in South Kensington, London. It was built as a tribute to Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, and has served as the headquarters for The Scout Association, as a hostel providing modern and affordable lodging for Scouts, Guides, their families and the general public staying in London and as a conference and event venue. The building committee, chaired by Sir Harold Gillett, Lord Mayor of London, purchased the site in 1956, and assigned Ralph Tubbs to design the house in the modern architectural style. The foundation stone was laid in 1959 by World Chief Guide Olave, Lady Baden-Powell, and it was opened in 1961 by Queen Elizabeth II. The largest part of the £400,000 cost was provided by the Scout Movement itself and the building previously included a number of tributes to the founder including hosting a small exhibition about Scouting, and a granite statue of Baden-Powell by Don Potter located outside the building. Following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and a decline in numbers of Scouts using the facility, the Scout Association sold the building to Mander Portman Woodward who run it as an events and conference venue and are converting the hostel rooms into boarding accommodation for students.

The High Commission of Bangladesh, London (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ হাইকমিশন, লন্ডন) is the chief diplomatic mission of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom. The High Commission is located on the Queen's Gate street of South Kensington in London. The Government of Bangladesh also operates two Assistant High Commissions located in Manchester and Birmingham. Moreover, it has concurrent accreditation to Ireland. The current High Commissioner is Saida Muna Tasneem who has served in the role since November 2018. The building, alongside the Royal Thai Embassy, is a Grade II listed building.

The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in London is the diplomatic mission of Yemen in the United Kingdom. The embassy occupies a five-storey nineteenth-century house opposite the Natural History Museum.

The Queen's Lawn is a green lawned area situated at the centre of Imperial College London's South Kensington campus, next to the Queen's Tower and immediately to the north of Imperial College Road. It provides an open space of 1,600 sq metres, and is surrounded by the Central Library, and the Sherfield administration, Chemistry, and Skempton buildings. It is often the site of college events, including student bands, fairs, and balls, as well as student activism.In April 2006, the Imperial College student newspaper Felix reported that the college was seeking permission of Westminster City Council to develop part of the lawn into a three-storey modular building, however this has not come to pass. A weekly farmer's market is held on Tuesdays, and Queen's Lawn was also the site of a world record attempt for the largest jelly mosaic.
