Buckland is a town in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,816 at the 2020 census. The town shares the village of Shelburne Falls with neighboring Shelburne. The town center at Shelburne Falls is the western end of the Bridge of Flowers, a local tourist attraction. Buckland is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Maj. Joseph Griswold House, also sometimes referred to as the Mary Lyon House, is a historic house on Upper Street in Buckland, Massachusetts. Built in 1818, it is one of the region's finest examples of residential Federal period architecture. It is further notable for its association with pioneering women's educator Mary Lyon, who operated a school here before establishing Mount Holyoke College. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Robert Strong Woodward House and Studio is a historic property at 43 Upper Street in Buckland, Massachusetts. Built about 1850, it was the home and studio of prominent New England landscape artist Robert Strong Woodward from 1936 until his death in 1957. The property has been maintained virtually intact except for maintenance and minor alterations since his death. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

The East Charlemont District School is a historic district school building at 1811 Massachusetts Route 2 in Charlemont, Massachusetts, United States. Built in 1828, it is one of a small number of surviving brick district schoolhouses in the state of Massachusetts. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Odd Fellows' Hall is a historic Odd Fellows' hall at 1-5 State Street on the Buckland side of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Built in 1877, and rebuilt after a damaging fire in 1895, it has been a focal point of the business district on the Buckland side of the village since its construction, serving an active Odd Fellows chapter until 1963. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. In 1988 it was included in the Shelburne Falls Historic District.

The Bridge of Flowers is in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, connecting the towns of Shelburne and Buckland. The seasonal footbridge – once a trolley bridge – has a garden of flowers covering it. It is only open between April and October.

The Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum is a small railroad museum in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, United States.The museum (SFTM) is dedicated to preserving and operating car number 10 of the former Shelburne Falls and Colrain Street Railway. This is a combination passenger-baggage trolley car built by the Wason Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1896 and is the last known trolley car from the Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway. In 1992, Marshall Johnson donated car number 10 (which his father had bought and saved when the Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway shut down, decades earlier) to a small group of people who restored the car back to working order. The museum also has a small assortment of equipment that is not related to the Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway, including an ex-Central Vermont caboose, a Central Vermont handcar, two MBTA PCC cars, and other railroad and trolley equipment. The Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum is located in the old Buckland Freight yard.

Shelburne Falls is a historic village in the towns of Shelburne and Buckland in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. The village is a census-designated place (CDP) with a population of 1,731 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Arms Academy was a public school located in Shelburne, Massachusetts, United States. Named after Major Ira Arms, construction commenced following a gift of land and $20,000. Initially dedicated as a private school in 1880, Shelburne voters made it a public school in 1894. The final class graduated in 1967, prior to the establishment of nearby Mohawk Trail Regional High School. "Students from Rowe, Colrain, Buckland, Shelbourne, and other hilltowns" attended the school, according to a member of the class of 1967 who spoke with the local Greenfield Recorder. Other non-local students also attended the school. At the time the school closed, its last class was 65 graduates.Today, the building houses the Shelburne Historical Society.

Mohawk Trail Regional School is a school located on Route 112 in Buckland, Massachusetts, United States. The public school currently serves grades 7–12 for nine towns: Ashfield, Buckland, Charlemont, Colrain, Hawley, Heath, Plainfield, Rowe and Shelburne.

The Academy at Charlemont is a small, private, college-preparatory day school, located on the Deerfield River in Charlemont, Massachusetts, that serves grade 6 through postgraduate. The school was founded by Eric Grinnell, Dianne Grinnell, David W. McKay, Patricia D. W. McKay, Margaret J. Carlson, and Lucille Joy in 1981 as an experiment in bringing classical and community-oriented education to rural Western Massachusetts—specifically Franklin County, Massachusetts.
